@GAZAWOOD1 Those are obviously Jews masquerading as Hamas so they can sneak in undetected, beat Palestinians, horde aid, and then blame it all on Hamas. Nobody is falling for your Hasbara propaganda. Did I do that right?

I wanted to make a post about the aid situation in Gaza with testimonies/anonymous screenshots from some of my friends in Gaza. (Long post and also🧵) I will preface this by saying: Gaza has enough food to feed every single citizen and Israel is letting in enough aid. I want to make that perfectly clear at the top of this post. There is ice cream, desserts, chocolate, kebab, pizza, candy, seafood, restaurants open, markets full of produce….there is enough in Gaza to feed everyone. However, as before the war, Gaza is a place of extreme wealth disparity and corruption. Before October 7 anyone associated with Hamas lived like a fat cat: 5 star resorts, equestrian clubs (yes, plural), amazing cuisine, shopping malls, groceries stocked with as many food options as you could possibly ever hope for, car dealerships, waterparks and theme parks, luxury villas with marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and sparkling pools...you name it, Gaza had it. But the other half of the population lived in squalor, in “refugee camps” (which were just large slums with actual apartment buildings, not camps with tents at all) but they had access to anything they needed, they just did not have the income because of the 50% unemployment rate. Fast forward to today and the same disparity and corruption is happening but on a much more serious scale. Hamas, PIJ, and mercenary groups still have access to any food they could want, pastries, crepes, ice cream, fancy coffees, milkshakes, hashish…whatever they want. The rest of the population can barely get enough rice and lentils to meet half of daily caloric needs. Why is this with all of the aid that comes in, especially now that Hamas is not stealing anywhere near as much aid? What about the GHF sites that pass out millions of meals per day, as they advertise? The reality on the ground is much more complicated than meets the eye and it is very grim. The intention of the GHF sites was great and COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT in reality if implemented correctly with a proper armed distribution system that was well-organized. I was very optimistic at first but on the first day some very well coordinated Qatari propaganda immediately started calling the well-formed lines and barricaded waiting areas “concentration camps” which was deliberate, gross, weaponized Holocaust inversion to cause the endeavor to fail. They also called checking ID’s to make sure the system wasn’t abused “collecting data” and made it sound sinister and not just pragmatic and useful, as it actually was meant to be. Their propaganda warfare succeeded and the private American contractor took away the fences, lines, and the entire system. Now they just leave the boxes of aid out in an open area and allow Gazans to access it between certain hours. The result is an absolute Hunger Games shitshow of the highest order where only the strongest get the aid. Mercenaries go and collect as much of the most valuable products as they can (coffee, sugar, nutella, flour, oil) and leave the rest then bring it to the market to sell at high prices. Hamas, clans, and mercenaries fight over the aid and even kill each other once they leave the aid site to steal each other’s aid. The IDF fires warning shots and innocent civilians have been caught in accidental crossfire, although that is not admitted to by the IDF at the moment, there are enough testimonies to say otherwise. Hamas shoots at civilians trying to get aid to stop the operation from succeeding, and they also still commandeer trucks coming into the strip. Clans and mercenaries also steal trucks and often truck drivers will just abandon the truck and let them have it so that they live, and other times the drivers and aid workers will actually be shot and killed by Hamas and mercenaries, mostly Gazans but also some American workers as well. Our own side does not want to talk about what an abject failure this project is and how to improve it, mostly because admitting wrongdoing, even if it is unintentional, is the kind of weakness we frankly cannot afford if it is done incorrectly, and our enemies will say we are evil demons either way. There are numerous reasons this project failed and I won’t make an exhaustive list but the top reasons are first and foremost, the UN and other international aid organizations flat out refused to work with Israel to form a new distribution system that kept the aid from going to Hamas. That is what is truly demonic and it is criminally negligent. I firmly believe the UN has been thoroughly infiltrated and corrupted by Jew hating, BRICS nations supporting communists hellbent on the destruction of Israel. If they had agreed to cooperate and work with Israel on this endeavor then a better system could have been established. Another reason is that Netanyahu cut out the original mastermind of the concept and the private organization/contractor GDC, led by Moti Kahana, who Israel was working with to form a system that would work since at least August 2024, that we know from public information. According to Moti and his replies to me on Twitter, Netanyahu went with another group and they are not qualified, not using a plan that could scale and could work, and they are corrupt oligarchs behind the organization. I’m not going to comment on any nefarious intentions on Netanyahu’s part, but I would like to know why they aren’t implementing a better system since they already had the framework developed of what would actually work. Whatever the reasons, the end result is that the people getting the aid are only able bodied men that are brave enough to potentially risk their lives to go to aid centers, not just GHF but other organizations as well, and the most vulnerable of the population (women, children, elderly) only buy extortionately priced food at the markets since it is not safe to go to aid sites and they usually do not have the capability to carry aid and walk for several miles home with it, often an entire day’s walk just to get to any aid. The prices at market are absurd and Gazans have virtually no way of making money right now, at least not that is honorable, so most rely on donations from people, savings, or some have their own little hustles like one friend I talk to collects plastic bottles and containers and cleans them up and sells them. And the ones that get donations have turned to beggars and in order to get the money out they have to pay an extremely high exchange and withdrawal rate to receive their funds. Some prices on the market right now are: ~ $400 for a large bag of flour from the U.N. ~Bags of rice or lentils are about $20 each ~Most produce available is about $15-20 per one piece of produce (ie one cucumber) ~There is very rarely any meat or protein available except the lentils People are not at starvation level but people are severely malnourished and losing weight, and the most vulnerable people in society are suffering the most. There is very little access to baby formula, for instance, and nursing moms are not able to get enough water and calories to produce breastmilk. As a mom that nursed my babies I needed about 3 liters of water a day and at least 2,000 calories to produce enough milk or it started to dry up/not have enough milk for them. Children are also not getting enough nutrients and are living mostly on rice and lentils, which is subsistence eating and not enough for their growing bodies. While the responsibility for proper distribution systems lies with the U.N. I do firmly believe it is Israel’s moral responsibility to make the distribution systems work properly so that they are guarded from Hamas and mercenaries and reach the people that actually need it. For free. I asked some friends in Gaza for written testimonies I could share anonymously in this post so that you can read their words about what the situation with aid and food is like for them. These are people I know and trust. They are in different areas of Gaza (north, south, and central) and so they have different experiences. Only one of them is a woman and the rest are men. I will post screenshots of their words so you can see directly from them, but it is too dangerous to name them publicly since Hamas is still executing “collaborators.” You can believe their words or not, you can believe me or not. Your opinion doesn’t matter to me, frankly, but I’m here to share information and you can take it or leave it. I liberally block anyone I don’t feel like engaging with, so if you need to comment something shitty just know I will block you. --------------------------------------------------- Previous post/introduction to this post: This is a hard post to write and it will be a hard post for my fellow Zionists to read. Since last fall I’ve been making friends with Gazans on Twitter, getting to know them and who they are, what their lives are like, and what they have endured during this war. I have sent videos and voice notes, shared family pictures together, daily life, and hardships with several and had very deep discussions about the war and about peace. The vast majority of Gazans I have talked to want peace between our people, and not as a stop-gap before they take back the land. They just want to live. Their anti-Hamas protests “We Want To Live” started in summer 2023 BEFORE October 7 and restarted earlier this year during the war with Gazans risking their lives, and even losing their lives, for protesting Hamas. By now the algorithm for my feed is half Gazan Twitter and half Jewish Twitter so I read a large amount of their posts every day by pressing the “translate” button from Arabic, and I read their conversations to each other, without outsiders involved (except for sometimes me bursting in like the Kool Aid man lol oops). Their internal conversations with each other shows a deep hate of Hamas, a hate of “the occupation” but a longing for peace and a willingness and readiness to give up any form of violent resistance and make peace. They make jokes about where violent resistance has gotten their people, living in tents and in piles of rubble, and that they just want to taste chicken again. They hate Hamas more than Israel for the most part. In private conversations many tell me they do not say publicly what they think or say privately because of the culture of calling anyone who is fine with Israel existing a “collaborator” and the dangers of Hamas executing them as well. Some have told me they prefer the days when they were occupied by Israel and they had a much better life under Israel than Hamas and they don’t trust their own people to govern. Several have told me they want new Palestinian leadership and they want a peace agreement signed with Israel so we can all move on with our lives. NONE of the Gazans I’ve talked to had a problem with Jews as a people (can’t say the same for West Bank Palestinians though) and many Gazans told me about their parent’s friendships with Jews before 2005 or even visits to Israel growing up. When I try to talk to fellow Jews about this most tell me I’m being naive, that Gazans are lying, that they’re trying to get money from me (they’re not fyi) and they don’t want to believe that there are many Gazans that are decent people. To clarify, there are a lot of shitty, corrupt Gazans as well. There is Hamas, PIJ, and mercenaries and they are the ones with the means of control, money, and access to food in Gaza. Normal Gazans hate them and curse them. And to be totally fair, I have talked to and seen some Gazans that want nothing to do with Israelis or with peace. It has been the minority thus far I’ve personally talked to, but they exist, of course they do. Our own side is dehumanizing Gazans in our minds, and Palestinians at large, so we can ignore the very real tragedies happening. Yes, it is Hamas’ fault and they use their civilians as shields and GAZANS KNOW THIS AND TALK ABOUT IT DAILY and how awful it is. Israel IS targeting Hamas AND civilians are dying in the strikes against Hamas. Yes, it’s a war, and yes war is brutal. But to completely ignore the suffering on their side is not moral or ethical. There is the same dehumanization and cognitive dissonance happening on our own side towards the Palestinians as they do to us. We are better than that as a people and we must remain above that and cease stooping to that level. I set out to make a post today about the aid situation, and I am working on that as well, but it turned into this post as a sort of prologue to what will be a giant post describing the aid situation on the ground in Gaza, with anonymous testimonies from my friends included. But I knew that this all had to be said first before I even delve into the aid issues, which is a fucking catastrophe that our people should be ashamed of and need to pressure leaders to fix. That will have to be for tomorrow, though. Thanks for reading this far and feel free to (respectfully) ask any questions. Assholes on both sides of the conflict will be blocked.

@paulg How about Hamas move the “innocent” civilians underground in their hundreds of miles of tunnels to protect them from attacks? Israel gives them days of advance notice before attacking, surely that would be enough time to move them to a safe place?

A lot has been said for a very long time about “normalizing” relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia. So it’s important to remember one thing: Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Wahhabism. Wahhabism is the dominant Islam element in both Saudi Arabia and Qatar. And Wahhabism is the most intolerant and aggressive form of Islam. We should never forget that Saudi Arabia were one of the main participants and antagonists in the 1948 genocidal war waged by the Arabs against Israel. And Saudi Arabia was one of the main participants and antagonists in the 1973 genocidal war waged by the Arabs against Israel. They have consistently attempted to thwart and thwarted every effort for peace between Israel and any Arab people. And they continue to do so. So please let’s not look at Saudi as some game changer for peace. They have had every opportunity to make peace. They don’t want it. Until they do, they’re no different to Qatar, Iran or anyone else.
