@DMmemathsmemes @DanHilliard1 @stevencoutts77 @Acowoma I think most GCSE teachers would teach the use of the quadratic equation by rote. Thanks for trying to do the right thing and teach students WHY they are doing what they do. (I'm assuming you're a GCSE teacher)

@Iberia I'm being offered a voucher or rescheduling for a flight out of Madrid in May. Why is there no option of a refund? Neither of the options offered are of any use to me

@jootablu Yes, a full refund. A few days after a long conversation on here the money randomly appeared in my bank account. They didn't tell me it was coming and there was no email to confirm. Not the best communication from them but I got the money so I can't complain!

@AQA .@ofqual consultation only came out yesterday and one of the questions was about results day.... it's been decided before consultation ends?

Just to confirm, students will receive GCSE, AS and A-level results in August, as originally planned.

@sammyl1979 @actingkids @educationgovuk As I've said before, people shouldn't put too much emphasis on these "resits". For themajority, the process will give sufficiently accurate grades. People will always looks for excuses to justify dissappointing outcomes and I anticipate many who sit this "resit" will not improve.

@phys_teacher_ @actingkids @educationgovuk True but without a chance of seeing predicted grades following mock exams, they have no longer been given time to regroup and review their options. Now kids will carry on studying throughout the summer holidays just in case they may have to re-sit exams.

@actingkids @educationgovuk OFQUAL stated : "We’re working hard to get results out as soon as is possible. Results won’t be delayed after the dates they were expected in August and ideally will be issued a little earlier, so students can have the certainty they need." So no promise of July was actually made
