“Bhajan clubbing” is drawing Gen Z crowds across India. No alcohol, no DJs. Just performers leading Hindu devotional songs set to bass-heavy beats. It’s part of a wider shift reshaping how young Indians are engaging with the faith. @akritiisharma explains: bloom.bg/4uNvX0f

That's not how it works. A woman "showing her body" clearly farms more engagement than a lengthy article on Substack. Those are two different platforms for two different kinds of audiences. We don't need to bring down women taking control of their bodies to bolster support for women writers. Both can flourish.

@amitmalviya Wait a minute. Is Rahul's influence weakening, and the Muslim League's influence growing in Congress? So is Rahul a Muslim agent or not? Make up your mind, Mr. Malware.

Congress’s decision to appoint V D Satheesan as Kerala Chief Minister raises vexing political questions. It reflects the growing influence of Indian Union Muslim League, a radical organisation, within Kerala’s power structure, especially given the CM-elect’s perceived proximity to the party. At the same time, it also underlines the weakening grip of Rahul Gandhi over key decisions, as his close aide K C Venugopal did not make the cut for the top post. The former points to changing political equations in Kerala; while the latter signals an increasingly diffused and uncertain Congress leadership structure.

Rama Duwaji attended a Paris Fashion Week event this past fall. That's despite being married to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a socialist who ran on taxing the rich, and making just ~$10,000 last year. The mayor's office did not respond to a request for comment on who paid for this trip (pre-inauguration), which also included a visit to London.

@LucifersTweetz Hard disagree. This is a great time to have morals and a conscience. Because there is finally some accountability and hope. Imagine a time without social media. When the mainstream media got the sole say in the narratives.

This is a major development. According to this report, DoJ’s decision came after Adani hired one of Trump’s personal lawyers, and Adani’s legal team promised prosecutors that he will invest $10 billion in the US economy and create 15,000 new jobs.

When Udayanidhi Stalin repeatedly attacks "sanathanam" in Tamil, why is there not more outrage among the highly religious Tamil Hindu population? I believe it comes down to language. In Tamil language, the word "sanathanam" (eternal in English) is not in regular use. Most Tamil people do not know this word and I did not know it myself as a child. On the other hand the word "dharma" (spelled as "dharmam" or "dharumam") is common in Tamil and there is a district named Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. There is also the word "aram" used in Tamil with the same meaning as dharma. Interestingly, in Hindi, the word "dharam" means "religion" in general and Hinduism is "hindu dharm" or "sanatan dharam" and Christianity is "isai dharam" in Hindi. But in Tamil usage, the word "dharmam" would effectively mean "Hindu dharam" in Hindi. Now if Udayanidhi had attacked "dharmam" in Tamil (which effectively means Hinduism) he would be widely criticised for proclaiming adharmam. That is why he is picking the word "sanathanam" to attack because that word is not widely known in Tamil. With all his "sincere" effort, he is making the word known in Tamil too and he has made the already huge anti DMK vote in Tamil Nadu even bigger. The DMK has never won a majority on its own ever, because of that huge strong anti-DMK current. They established that current with their constant attacks on Hindu deities. The AIADMK never did that and they harvested the anti-DMK current well. Now, in spite of the TVK being the new anti-DMK party and in spite of the AIADMK splitting the anti-DMK vote (see how I worked it!) and in spite of the DMK spending extraordinary amounts of cash, in spite of the DMK having a strong alliance and the TVK having no alliance, the DMK lost the election. Udayanidhi wants to ensure the DMK would never come back. May the eternal sanatana dharma grant his wish 🙏😉

Fadnavis saab aggressively testing the limits of bhakt stupidity. But gotta give it to him, he understands the true depths of the fanbase's idiocy better than anyone else, and he knows they will swallow even this clownery. This is why he's a successful BJP politician.

@dmuthuk Hard disagree. He is the CM of a big state, not a student starting college to be given time to adjust. Let him understand that serving the people is not like making a movie. And let the opposition do their job. That’s what they are there for.

Was going through this morning yesterday's political happenings in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Vijay is mocked because he did not answer certain accusations immediately in assembly but instead chose to give a long response through a post in Twitter. Unlike other leaders before, Vijay do not have any long experience in assembly or parliament. He has immediately become Chief Minister after forming the party. It would definitely take some time for him to get hands on in administrative and political functioning. The fact is Tamil Nadu people has wanted him to be the Chief Minister. It is rare to earn that kind of trust. It is relatively easier to pick political and administrative experience over a period of time. Also some handles have accused Vijay of acknowledging what Udayanidhi said on Sanathana. I saw the video this morning. After every party representative's speech in assembly, Vijay acknowledged them with folded hands. He did the same for Udayanidhi too. Be it opposition parties or those who don't like Vijay, it is unfair to be critical of him from day one like this. He needs to be given 6 months to 1 year to get a grip on lot of things. Chief Minister Vijay is having strong people's mandate. So it is fair we give him some time.

He is the CM of one of the most important and richest states in India. Yes- his every move is going to be analyzed because crores of people’s lives depend on his directives. If Modi was scrutinised this much during how first two tenures, then our country would not be in this state.

There’s a witch hunt of Vijay underway for daring to win He may be a good or bad CM, with good or bad governance It cannot be assessed until his performance is seen; that needs time His every breath under criticism isn’t healthy. Pressure distorts

When I discussed the reasons for voting for Vijay, the answers I got were: - I like him from cinema - He said he will give ₹2500 instead of ₹2000 - 6 free cylinders - Let's give him a chance After some discussions, I came to know: - No knowledge about the state’s performance like GDP, GER, inflation, infrastructure, investments, etc. - No awareness of state rights, welfare schemes, safety, etc. Overall, these people were living on Instagram and YouTube shorts in particular #Sofamodel #TVK #TVKVijay
