You encounter God in the failures from your attempts. That is precisely the way to his wisdom. The devil on the other hand, makes you fear failure so you'd stay stuck, consequently depriving you of the knowledge God has in store for you when you fail in any of your attempts. ✌️

As Nigeria counts down to 2027, my team and I have spent the last five months building something big. It’s called Power and Plunder — a series that takes you through the entire history of Nigeria’s leadership. From Tafawa Balewa in 1960 to the current administration, we’re doing deep dives on every single leader who has occupied that office. How they governed. What they built. What they destroyed. And how, for better or worse, each one shaped the course of this country. First episode drops Wednesday, May 6th. Watch this space.

This NGO serves as a Police station (for crime response), EFCC (for economic and financial crimes, a.k.a if them scam you) and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs (for social interventions). So basically a parallel government. This arrangement should not exist in a healthy nation. But make no mistake: Nigeria is working according to plan with people like VDM. These guys are not anti-establishment as they would have believe. They are establishment proxies, used to advance a reduced state intervention agenda. It’s part of a broader neoliberal scheme. He does the same job as religious leaders, which is to present you with the illusion that you can make it without the involvement of your government. But in reality, you simply cannot. No nation serious about the well-being of its population operates with limited state intervention. None. You can go from China to Vietnam. None. Individuals or corporations should never be handed such powers. But of course, trust Nigerians to never see the bigger picture.

Alas, you people keep proving me right. My respect for you just shot up 900 ceilings. Until we have trust worthy, belly decentered, conscience driven, truth telling, evil deflecting young people like yourself - we won't tear down the defences that enables demonic governments.

With gratitude and deep reflection, I made the difficult decision to decline the appointment as Youth Ambassador. This is not out of disrespect - it can be a matter of purpose, timing and conviction.

The risk assessment in this "bear vs man" discourse is fundamentally broken, and watching women confidently choose the bear is peak internet delusion. Y'all will meet up with anonymous Tinder matches every weekend, leave clubs with strange men just because they drive a luxury car, go home with celebrities from backstage, and voluntarily date literal drug lords. You take massive, unchecked risks with strange men every single day. But drop you in a hypothetical forest, and suddenly a man is more dangerous than a 600lb apex predator just so you can win a gender war argument? The performative IQ is completely in the mud. Please rest.

Even when he joined the coalition, all I did was trust him. People who blamed him for not knowing how to "play politics" in 2023, started crucifying him for dining with vipers. I never sang Aregbesola, Malami or El Rufai's praise. I was never masturbating in their mentions because there's no way I'd forget what they'd represented in the past. I made up my mind - should he clench the ticket, I will just focus on my Principal. Grateful for Atiku's greed and selfishness. Thankful that the marriage didn't work out. See as divorce sweet.

“Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them.” Beautiful. Just beautiful!
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@samson_samsen Utility > Perfection everyday. What is Perfection? At best: an idea/a subjective concept. Utility on the other hand has no need for interpretation. It's effect are seen, felt and even commands gratitude. Anyone who understands this would abandon all things & chase competence

You can be a "bad" person. Just don’t be a mediocre. People don’t hate the bad; they hate the unimpressive ones. The forgettable villain is condemned. The exceptional one is admired. Mastery attracts more than morality does. We respond less to virtue than to execution. Evil, done with precision, commands attention. You are not drawn to villains in movies because they are evil. You are drawn to them because they are excellent. They do wrong with intent, with God level accuracy. You don’t admire what is right as much as You admire what is done well. Excellence seduces more than righteousness.

Lmao. Brother, did he mention that the price of the form was the issue? And yes, the old tweet matters because it's content was utilized in comparing Obi (a politician) and Tunde (A civilian) in a bid to make a point. So, now that he's left the Criticized coalition, what's up?
Abraham Omolewa@OmolewaAbraham

He has a choice tho, he could pay 100m for the form. Regardless, that old tweet doesn’t matter in the current brouhaha. But I will always maintain that there was hypocrisy in how Tunde Chess was dragged.

@OmolewaAbraham There was no hypocrisy. Why? The two people are not operating within the same contextual architecture. Would you say a Soldier commits murder when he kills a Terrorist? No! In that same vein, you won't blame a Politician for politicking in light of carrying out his good intents.

Now, Obi has moved to another party. Why? Because he has no other Choice. Comparing T.O situation to P.O's is like trying to conduct a non-feasible experiment. Obi and Tunde are simply not operating within the same contextual architecture, hence their judgement won't be similar
