Marcus Rashford: He is one of the most frustrating talents in modern football, not because he lacks ability but because he shows you just enough to believe he should be unstoppable. One moment he looks like he’s ready to take the whole world by storm with his decision making, efficiency and impact but the next moment, he fades into long stretches where the impact disappears, the confidence drops and the sharpness that once defined him disappears. With him it’s not always about talent. it’s about rhythm and mentality. World class players set a standard and live in it every week whereas Marcus Rashford visits that level but doesn’t stay there long enough. He is consistently inconsistent with his form and decision making. Every performance feels like the beginning of something but never the continuation cause he lives between “almost” and “again” but never quite in always. At his best, he’s unplayable but at his worst, he’s absolutely uninvolved and it is too big a gap. That is what separates very good players from world class players.

The funny thing here is when Ten Haag was sacked , this board did their due diligence. Interviewed couple of coaches, Tuchel, Xavi, and ended up with Amorim also because the other two were not really ready for the job. Now, a former United player comes in get a couple of wins and they are not actively even looking to interview others. They just want to hand over the job to Carrick. Just like that.
