And then seeing the charas call on their summons even in cutscenes, to interact with the world in a certain way or react to a situation, etc.. SO so cool.. wonder if this is why I love Pokémon 😂 the trope of calling on a cool mythical creature to aid the hero.. absolute cinema

one thing I’ve always LOVED in ff games is their whole concept of summons - summoning as a battle tactic during fights.. the ffxiii eidolons were sooooo gorgeous and grand esp Odin and Bahamut (and back in ffx the aeons were awesome as well..)

was rewatching cutscenes and had sudden realization abt why I love ffxiii so much: - main cast gets to aura farm a lot with eidolons and cool fight choreos - half of main cast r baddies! lightning, fang, vanille - soundtrack chock full of bangers (masashi hamauzu is a genius)

モチーフ的に北欧っぽさもあって敵とかからFF13系統もオマージュあるんじゃないかって話だけど かなりあると思ってる 実際に黄金だって FF9、FF5、FF11 って感じだったからね FF7、FF13、あとひとつくらいは混ぜそう ティザーのアウラおじもFF13-2でなんども巫女を失うアイツみあるし
