just pushed silicon8 CHIP-8 emulator in straight C99 + SDL2. all 35 opcodes, font baked in, zero extra deps. code maps 1:1 to the spec. roms included (pong, invaders, tetris, etc). runs like the real 1976 hardware. repo : github.com/pie-314/silico…

1,000,000,000 digits of Pi. 100% accurate. PiEngine just hit the 1B milestone using OCaml 5 + Chudnovsky algorithm with binary splitting. Time: 1256.49s (~21 min) HW: Ryzen 7 Pro (all cores pinned) RAM: ~12GB peak #OCaml #SystemsProgramming

Man I'm way out of all the tasks and classes of @kirat_tw bootcamp. Way behind. Been busy with graduation stuff, house shifting new roles adjustment and working on other stuff has burned me out. Oh I also switched to arch from omarchy as well. Advice from a good friend @pie314n

@vansh1029 @marsihq someone did it better, free, and you’re mad? If your backend wasn't school project tier and marketing wasn't trash, you wouldn’t be here. You’re crying like they stole your ASCII art invention but it has existed since 60s. Keep crying about your lack of skills.

I think there’s a difference between taking inspiration and blatantly copying a project. @marsihq I was okay with that part but then milking it like you spent weeks building it and asking for stars that’s crazy. You just asked claude: "Copy this site and change the color" (It really hurts when you make a website landing page with soo much love and spend so much time on it..)

@vansh1029 @marsihq i am not denying it, UI part seems very similar, but USP of the project is the generation thing i guess

Rewriting my Pi engine in OCaml. Same BS pipeline, fewer LOC, more safety. Functional style made the BS feel… natural.

In my Pi engine i just crashed 100M accurate Pi values in around ~2 mins, this is huge improvement from last iteration which was 1M digits in ~2H, yes you read that write how did i do it? just implemented binary splitting. got capped by data type issue in mpfr. Will hit 1B soon.

Building a zero-copy data pipeline from the Linux kernel to PyTorch using Aya and eBPF. KernelX isn't just monitoring, it’s a high-frequency intelligence plane for AI workloads. No overhead, just pure performance. #RustLang #eBPF #KernelX
naman gupta@rayugacodes

so we built KernelX - an OpenEnv environment where an LLM agent learns scheduling policy from real kernel telemetry. an eBPF probe extracts a 24-dimensional state vector at every context switch. 534k of these became the dataset. dataset: huggingface.co/datasets/Rayug…

Been building Glyphcast, Shipping tomorrow. Converts videos, photos, and GIFs into ASCII art, right in your browser. Inspired by @vansh1029's open source project. Used some of their assets and took cues from their frontend, but moved the conversion logic fully client-side, so there's no upload, no server, no wait. Huge thanks to @vansh1029 for the inspiration 🙏
