Urging the government for extension of this tax percentage while simultaneously fucking over freelancers by suggesting a higher tax rate for their services is what you're doing. These big associations and conglomerates are exploitative by choice.

This is the main part everyone is glossing over. PASHA wants the 0.25% tax rate to stay for “genuine independent exporters” i.e., their own software houses, but want to tax anyone working independently at normal salary rates. Why?

The group wants Section 154A split into 2 categories: genuine independent exporters keep 0.25%, while remote employees of foreign firms are taxed separately. At Rs 500,000 monthly pay, P@SHA says the current gap is Rs 105,500.

Because they are no longer able to exploit talent at peanut salaries because the smart ones land remote roles and break out. This proposal is their answer: Instead of paying their own employees better, they would rather make remote-work less viable for everyone but themselves.

Lolz, this will just accelerate brain drain. Remote workers aren't tied to one geography anymore. A lot of them can simply relocate to another country and continue earning remotely while benefiting from better tax policies and stability.

The deaths from the suspected suicide bombing have risen to 23. The bodies have been brought to the civil hospital in Quetta, around 47 injured as well. These are only partial figures as official are still busy with rescue efforts. Initial investigations say that the train had stopped at the paramilitary installation to attach new bogeys to the train for families of personnel returning home for Eid. Most of the casualties are women and children.

A massive explosion was heard in Quetta, Balochistan province of Pakistan. Local sources said that a bomb exploded near a paramilitary installation close to a passing train. “Two bogeys have been derailed due to the impact of the explosion”. It was not immediately clear what was the target. A doctor from the civil hospital said 8 bodies and three dozen injured that included women and children were brought to the hospital. A security source said that they believed it was a suicide bombing. Officials are still investigating, more details are awaited.

The police station at Fatehkhel, Bannu district this morning after a suicide bombing, shows a structure razed to the ground. The area is located adjacent to North Waziristan district close to the Afghan border. The police say they have dug out more bodies of their fallen colleagues. A list from a source at the hospital showed nine bodies had been identified. Some injured who were stuck under the rubble have also been pulled out and taken to the hospital. Official figures are awaited till the end of the rescue operation.

At least two bodies have been recovered from the blast site in Bannu district so far, a senior police officials said. where a suicide bomber tried ramming his vehicle into a police station. Rescue efforts were still underway. At least 4 locals including women and children have also been injured as a result of the impact. The IMP claimed the attack on the Fatehpul police station. Several residents from the area said their houses were damaged . Another attack was also repulsed by police at the Dadiwala police station in the adjacent Lakki Marwat District. Where armed men tried to attack a police station.
