يظهر مقطع فيديو جديد التقط بهاتف محمول المواجهة المتوترة في حادث إـطلاق ـنار في مقاطعة نورث، أسفر عن ـمقتل أب لأربعة أطفال يبلغ من العمر 40 عامًا وإـصابة رجل آخر.
عرفت عائلة الـ ـقتيل بأنه مارتن لوكاس، 40 عامًا.
ويقول المحققون إنه أـطُلق عليه الـ ـنار يوم الاثنين من قبل مايكل بيرك، 70 عامًا، خلال مشادة كلامية على طريق خاص في فولبروك.
وقالت مارتينا لوكاس، ابنة لوكاس، إن والدها كان أبا مخلصًا يخصص دائمًا وقتًا لعائلته.
وأضافت: "كان والدي دائمًا حاضرًا معنا في أعياد ميلادنا، وفي عيد الميلاد، وفي رأس السنة ، كان والدي أقرب أصدقائي.
وبحسب العائلة، كان لوكاس يقود شاحنة صغيرة عائدًا إلى منزله بعد مساعدة صديق في أعمال تنسيق الحدائق عندما وقعت المواجهة.
يظهر مقطع فيديو التُقط بهاتف محمول من قبل أحد المارة أجزاء من المواجهة على الرغم من أنه مُعدّل ولا يُظهر السياق الكامل لما أدى إلى الجدال.
في الفيديو، يمكن سماع بيرك وهو يصرخ باتجاه الشاحنة.
وهو يقول : هل تريد الموت اليوم؟ سأـقتلك".
يظهر المقطع المصور بيرك وهو يدخل ـبندقية طويلة عبر نافذة جانب الراكب أثناء جداله مع رجل يجلس في مقعد الراكب، والذي قالت مارتينا لوكاس إنه صديق والدها.
ويبدو أن عراكا قد وقع بعد ذلك.
وبعد لحظات، دوى صوت ـطلقة ـنارية، وبدأت الشاحنة بالتدحرج ببطء نحو أسفل التل باتجاه طريق إيست ميشن
وقالت مارتينا لوكاس إن والدها وصديقه أصيبا بالرـصاص.
وقالت: "لقد ـقتل والدي، كما لو كان ـحيوانًا ،
لم يكن والدي يستحق ذلك".
وبعد إـطلاق الـ ـنار ، يُظهر الفيديو بيرك وهو يصرخ باتجاه السيارة من الطريق قبل أن ينتهي التسجيل.
ووفقًا لمالك عقار على طول الطريق الخاص المسور حيث وقع إـطلاق الـ ـنار، يعيش بيرك في منزل متنقل في العقار ويعمل هناك كحارس.
وقال لاري سينامون، وهو من سكان فالبروك، إنه يعرف بيرك منذ حوالي عقد من الزمان، وإن الاتهامات فاجأته.
وقال سينامون: "هذا ليس من طبع مايك على الإطلاق ، إنه ليس شخصا عدوانيا.
قال سينامون إنه لا يعلم ملابسات إـطلاق الـ ـنار، لكنه يعتقد أن بيرك ربما كان يحاول حماية الممتلكات من المتسللين.
وأفادت السلطات أن الرجل الثاني الذي أصيب بالرـصاص تلقى العلاج وغادر المستشفى القريب.
في غضون ذلك، أطلقت عائلة لوكاس حملة تبرعات عبر الإنترنت للمساعدة في تغطية نفقات الجنازة.
وقالت مارتينا لوكاس: "أتمنى حقًا أن يبقى هذا الرجل في السجن، وأن ـيتعفن هناك، وألا يخرج أبدا.
يواجه بيرك عدة تهم من بينها الـ ـقتل العمد من الدرجة الأولى ، ومن المقرر مثوله أمام المحكمة يوم الخميس.
