Are you a sole trader or landlord with turnover above £50,000? There's a huge shake up about to happen to self-assessment which may affect you, called Making Tax Digital. It means you'll need to do a digital tax return four times a year! I don't normally cover small business issues but this needs awareness raising. I must admit, some of this is driven by nervousness from what I’ve heard. I know of accountants near retirement who have left the industry early as they don’t want to deal with the new scheme.
