We are so back Are you riding with us? Drop your hardest @SpaceRidersXYZ in the comments.

Great to see @SpaceRidersXYZ as a top mover on @opensea. I've been critical of OpenSea over the years, but it's incredibly clear they won the NFT marketplace war. We've seen so many players come in and try to sabotage the space with unhealthy reward systems that ultimately just hurt collections. To this day, OpenSea is still my preferred NFT marketplace. I've been using them since day 1, and I’ll continue to do so. They've been through a lot of ups and downs, but who hasn't? This space is tricky, and you have to constantly pivot to stay relevant. OpenSea did just that. OpenSea gave us a platform, and we'll forever be grateful for that. So, kudos to them 🥂 Let's ride.

As of Friday, May 15th at 12:00 AM EST, OpenRarity has officially been turned back on for both @SpaceRidersXYZ collections: Space Riders and Visions of the Void on @opensea. This was a tricky decision. Since launch, we've used an outdated rarity system based on Rarity Sniper's weighting algorithm, which has since sunsetted. After they shut down operations, we scraped and preserved that data, then hooked it into our website so people could manually search Token #'s to view the rarity of their Riders and Visions. Unfortunately, this just wasn't an ideal system to move forward with long term. When people would go to OpenSea to purchase, there were no rankings visible since we had OpenRarity turned off, and that was working heavily against us. The two systems are different, albeit not by a massive margin, but certainly not identical. However, many of the trait weights are still similar, and OpenSea's rarity system does a solid job accounting for commons, rares, ultra rares, and 1/1s. All this being said, this is the first step we're taking toward refining the two collections we're putting the most emphasis on, with many more steps to come. I'd confidently say most people hunt for vibes and aesthetics over pure rarity. But at the same time, to avoid going against the grain of how collectors browse NFTs today, this was the proper route to take. As you explore both collections, you'll now see rarity rankings displayed directly on OpenSea. Over the coming days and weeks, there will likely be a natural rebalancing in how certain traits are perceived and valued throughout the community. If anyone has questions, feel free to drop them below and I'll reply back. As I've mentioned earlier today, we believe OpenSea won the marketplace war. And to keep things moving in the right direction, we have to respect that reality as collectors come to browse and purchase our collections. People should be able to understand rarity before making a buying decision. Thank you to everyone who gave input throughout this process, especially many of our largest holders who have spent years collecting specific traits and rarities. And as always, let's ride 🫡
