@ChrisCamillo “We’re already living in the age of abundance. It’s just unevenly distributed.” -If you read history and a bit of macroeconomics- this has been the case since time immemorial. Nothing new, IMO.

Late July Monday and half my neighborhood has vanished. We’re quietly entering an era where entire classes of people can just disappear all summer. UHNW families, trust fund kids, retirees, entrepreneurs, “remote workers”, influencers, OF creators, sugar babies. We’re already living in the age of abundance. It’s just unevenly distributed.

I see posts of people getting ''wiped out''. I read posts of people down 40%, 50% or even more in just a couple of weeks. I see people finding God after they completely fuck up a $10M within a year. This has absolutely nothing to do with investing. And quite frankly, it's sad to see. I would like to take this moment to remind everyone, that the S&P500 is only down 2% from its ATH. Nothing has happened yet. All we had was a well-deserved pull-back in one of the hottest sector bull-runs in decades. If you're getting ripped to pieces right now, I can tell you for a fact it will get a lot worse when we actually see a full market downturn. The warnings are there: the Iran conflict escalating, tariffs back on the table, inflation rising and potentially interest rates too, stocks not going up on great earnings. This could all be a nothing burger, but it could also be something far worse. Please, if you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for me: Improve your risk management before it's too late. Don't fool yourself that it only gets better from here. You're simply sticking your head in the sand if you keep telling yourself you don't care about being down 10% in a day, or down 50% in a couple of weeks. It's a whole bunch of bs and a whole lot of copium.

@amitisinvesting If the $SPCX recent drawdown is anything to go by, I think market is being selective about capital allocation (capital being limited) and will be like that for some time and maybe there in lies the opportunity for a long term investor?

Does anyone think the Mag 7 and the Semiconductors can participate together in a bull market? In 2026, the market has obviously been extremely selective. For the Semis (cap-ex beneficiaries) to do well, the market has taken down the Mag 7 (cap ex spenders) the entire year. When the Mag 7 were doing well over the past few weeks, the Semis were going down. Do they all go up together at some point or for the next few years, will the market continue to be selective with capital allocation to one sector over the other?

You’re not overwhelmed because life is hard, you’re overwhelmed because your mind is undisciplined. You entertain every impulse, chase every thought, respond to every emotion. Until you build a filter for what deserves your energy, life will feel heavier than it is.

You are admired only when you win. Until then, you are tolerated at best, mocked at worst, and invisible in between. This is the law of existence: success or contempt. The world does not pity the unsuccessful man, it condemns him.
