@circlesize HP just punishes you for playing maps that are too outside your comfort zone, with the exception of notelock, where even a comfortable map can be failed if you miss a single circle.

@circlesize I think the one big issue is simply how notelock nukes your pass. If you're playing a map and miss like 5 notes in a row it's just a skill issue, and in most cases missing 5 notes in a row isn't even guaranteed to fail you the score.

I cannot fathom how people genuinely think the hp system is fair. I think people are just too bad at the game to play maps where it really sucks and i dont mean that in a toxic way

@dante_x_ego @Bemesda @nse_wx @TukiFromKL Big difference, PhysX was a gimmick tech for fun, and was adopted by almost no games. And well, it actually worked like it was supposed to, with no issues. Ray tracing is not perfect. DLSS is not perfect. I'm being forced to upgrade from a perfectly capable card for shit.

It became the standard. Every time Nvidia ships something new, gamers riot. Every time, two years later, they can't live without it.. 8,000 people liked a reply saying "this looks horrifically bad." The same people will pre-order the GPU that runs it.. Nvidia didn't become a $3 trillion company by listening to reply guys... They became one by being right before everyone else was ready. Hate it now. Beg for it later. That's the Nvidia cycle.

@dante_x_ego @Bemesda @nse_wx @TukiFromKL Heck it's even still relevant compared to something like a 5060. And it would all be fine if the tech was perfect, but it's not. RTX still has graining issues, DLSS still has visible artifacting/ghosting, and frame gen actually lowers responsiveness by increasing latency.

@Big__TeeJ DLSS was also a tool, something that allowed lower end cards to play recent games, and breed them new life. Now it's a requirements companies EXPECT you to use, and tailor optimizations/requirements based on it. DLSS5 will just lead to less creative art directions.

To all of those complaining about how DLSS5 is destroying the "artist intended vision" Let me ask you this... Are you turning off motion blur and chromatic aberration? Because if you are, you're doing the exact same thing! At least this tool is still 100% within the developer's control and they decide how and where it is implemented in their game. It is nothing more than another tool in their toolbox. And just like that motion blur that you turn off no matter what, regardless of giving it a chance as the artist intended... You can simply turn this off as well! So again I asked why are people going to complain about something like this and yet they go about destroying the artist's intended vision themselves everyday?

@TukiFromKL Also no, nvidia didn't get where it is because of gamers, or because of DLSS/RT, AI computing is where their money's at. AMD just doesn't compete, and intel is too new to the scenes and is already having issues with their CPUs

@TukiFromKL DLSS still has visible artifacting, and negatively affects latency and responsiveness. Ray tracing was essentially forced, games already looked pretty good, for the performance penalty I'd rather more raw performance to not depend on using DLSS

@bizlet7 It looks almost like a different person. Also worried it'll just be yet another large step towards all games looking the exact same, with absolutely no art direction. It's fine for a game to look realistic, but it doesn't have to mimic real life to be good

Or alternatively we could remove both the respawn sound and the minimap marks, but then everyone would die from behind

Yoo @VALORANT @riotgames can you guys fix deathmatch pretty please 🥺I feel like these changes are simple but would make the experience 10x better: -Remove scoreboard and possibility to win( winning deathmatches DONT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALLLLL) -Make it 30-60 minutes, where people can join and leave whenever they want, people who leave are replaced with people who que. -get rid of those red marks spawn locations on the minimap And BOOOOM it's actually fun to play now

@yaiisann @qexdval The big difference is that clove plays for herself, and others can play around that and benefit from that. This new agent is directly playing for his team, while also buffing himself in the process. Imo this will just completely replace clove until you can't self-heal

it is team based but the same can be said about clove when you consider their playstyle and how it factors into team play. Clove’s kit is more self sufficient yes but you’re using your clove heal in fights and you’re usually taking those fights with your team or a 2nd player. being able to stim your teammate, refreshing the stim after every kill & then also healing yourself & your teammate, essentially “sharing” clove’s self sufficient ability with your team idk i see potential in that.
