So, at what point did Phillips realize he had made this "dumb mistake"? How long was he planning on being away? When he called into cabinet meetings (to help decide on further lockdown measures for Ont) who besides Ford knew he was in St.Barts? Was that kept under wraps?

@fitz_meagan Thank you for your great reporting on this story. I have become completely obsessed with it (even as a B.C. resident). Having cancelled many trips this year (to be a responsible Canadian), I take particular offence to the elaborate ruse (the premeditated sweater!!!)

Phillips explained his pre-programmed Tweets but what about some of his Zoom meetings like the one below (where you just might be able to hear the sound of waves) He's wearing a collared shirt + sweater, not exactly tropical weather attire. Was he trying to fool people?
