@wbuxtonofficial Luckily it was dry because if it was a wet race he would’ve moaned, complained, got all self righteous and got the race delayed so he could feel good about himself.

@ShaneH1525 @CorkHurlingPod As I said fans and occasions primary driver of atmosphere not the stadium but if you want to win best stadium award - go for it.

@ShaneH1525 @CorkHurlingPod Occasions and fans primarily generate atmospheres, not stadiums. Thurles great when full also - Limerick v Clare 2022- superb. Thomond park, probably best in its pomp, terrace and stand right on pitch. Pairc Ui Chaoimh was soulless when full for Munster V Gloucester.

@CorkHurlingPod They’re all a pain in the hole besides Thurles , walked to town in less than 30 mins it’s grand , it’s the best stadium in the country when it’s full

I interviewed Lando Norris and the world champion was open, honest and articulate. And then his management stepped in to police and muzzle him in an attempt to "control the narrative." From then on it did not go too well....this is what happened. theguardian.com/sport/2026/apr…

@m_brosnan It doesn’t impact the credibility of his article at all but he could have made his valid point without spurs reference. Was asking for trouble. In any event, it’s spurs fans that should feel insulted they have actually won a major competition recently unlike either of these two.

Playing the man rather than the ball is a classic reaction any time a GAA columnist lands a punch, but the way some still talk about that Mayo team is baffling. Plenty of counties who were steamrolled by Dublin would give anything for a group like that

@CorkGourmetGuy @TheRugbyIssue @Munsterrugby When Munster were successful where did we play? Where are we going to play our games in Cork? Pairc Ui Chaoimh? Let’s pay a fee to play in a half empty Gaa ground? Even when it was full it was completely soulless - wholly unsuited to regular rugby matches.

@TheRugbyIssue @Munsterrugby I'm not saying it's a quick fix but there's zero financial advantage fir the future of the club being based in Limerick. Name one successful professional team who do not base themselves where the majority of their fans live. Thomond Park was and will always be the wrong option

Munster fans may have to face up to the choice of having a team that can compete with the best in Europe, or having a team based in Limerick, because the last 10yrs has shown that you can't have both. The success of @Munsterrugby should be the most important thing. #SUAF

@_PaulHayward What story might that be? That a professional sports organisation tries to keep its sponsors happy by taking advantage of an important sporting announcement. Really reaching here.

@EndaEndamac95 No he didn’t. Changing him mid season was a terrible decision. He would never have left Frank in job as long as he did and wouldn’t have appointed Tudor to rescue the situation.

@OdohertyI64991 Everything past “but” other than A is overreaction. Greatest Irish song is a stupid concept anyway.

I don't want to overreact but we're officially finished as a people and a sovereign State. A) it's not even the Cranberries best song (that would be Linger) B) it has arguably the worst lyrics ever written. Anywhere. By anyone. Ever. C) well, it's just really, really shit.

'St. Paddy's Day' is usually preferred over 'St. Patty's Day.' 'Paddy' is the shortened form of the original Irish spelling of 'Patrick,' which is 'Pádraig.' 'Patty' is the shortened form of 'Patricia.'

@piersmorgan @Cristiano What’s interesting here of course is that you frequently tell anyone who listens that you are Irish, yet you don’t signal any emotion that you are happy they won or congratulations to the players. Instead your immediate reaction is to protect Ronaldo - do better Piers!

Well well well.. it seems Dara O’Shea has form for deliberately provoking Ronaldo in World Cup Qualifiers, then diving like an Olympic swimmer to try to get him sent off. Here’s what he did to @cristiano when Ireland played Portugal in 2021.. youtube.com/shorts/veu9Tiz…

@AlexBrundle McLaren made this up as they went along. His engineer said it was a bit like the Hungary situation - it was nothing like the Hungary situation, the reason Oscar ended up ahead was because of the poor pit stop not the under cut.

Clarifying a misunderstanding on the PIA/NOR switch: Mclaren has a pre-agreed situational set of racing rules, covering various happenings. It will be nowhere near as basic as ‘one parity rule’ Yesterday’s switch creates no precedent other than the same scenario occurring again. Anything else will be covered by a different rule/agreement. So drawing extreme comparisons to ‘if one now stops/crashes does the other need to now park up’ doesn’t hold water.
