Today, I met an elderly woman who hawks sachet water to survive.
From a distance, I saw her hit her leg on a stone, and her bucket fell, spilling all the water.
I walked toward her, gave her some cash, and told her I was sorry.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes, a sense of relief, and said, "God bless you."
It is not easy out there. I don't even know if she rented the bucket she was using.
Nigerians are trying. It is not easy.

@firstladyship INEC is the unannounced tier of the government. Ignore them to your own peril
English

I am from Kano, which is why I will never undermine the political strength of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. In my active political life, only the late President Buhari was able to consistently defeat him at both the state and national levels. We will certainly make every effort to do that again, but one thing is clear, it will not come easy.
English

@realFFK Even the devil quoted biblical words. Panic mood activated!
English

SURELY THEY SHALL GATHER....
It is clear that the strategy of the opposition is to spread fake news in the media in order to create tension and panic in the ranks of the Government and the ruling party, knock our heads together, create dissection in our ranks and plant doubts in our minds about our ability to win.
Every day they come up with something new like the fake news about the Governor of Nassarawa state working for Atiku. Tomorrow it will be someone else.
The space is getting heated up now and judging by their level of desperation and their inclination for disinformation those of us that are in the APC and that are supporting President Tinubu must close ranks and brace ourselves for the mother of all struggles in 2027.
The Holy Bible says "surely they shall gather but it shall not be of me. Whosoever gathers against thee shall be scattered for thy sake".
On its own part the Holy Koran says "surely they are planning but Allah is the greatest planner of all".
No matter how many local collaborators and traitors with the help of their foreign friends that are trying to destablise our Government and country and set us on fire one thing remains clear, light cannot be overcome by darkness and evil cannot prevail over good.
I have no doubt that despite the fact that they are gathering together more and more each day we shall surely overcome.
What we need to do is to get our act together, prepare our battle formations and rise up to the occassion by bringing some of our youngest, brightest and most courageous youths into the fray and the forefront of the fight.
By Gods grace the President shall be re-elected in 2027 and Nigeria shall continue to go from strength to strength.
God wills it!

@Pinkose_123 @U_Rochas Let me inform you , what’s about to happen will make the Govs “beg” for their return during the election. Lagos is eg.
In 2023, PO alone walked his way to garner according to INEC 6m votes. First timer! You can imagine what will be the score line now with other big wigs
English

@piuscillyn @U_Rochas Now that's where you made a mistake... APC is a serious party.. They don't get complacent with their dealings... They've started planning since... Why do you think this govt made sure the direct local govt allocation happened???
Just for bye election..Governors went to ABJ..
English

What is happening to APC right now is similar to what happened to PDP between 2013 and 2015. Many people didn’t take APC seriously then because of the loud echo chamber voices coming from within PDP. PDP never fully recovered from that fall.
Atiku, RMK, and Obi in one political party is already a dangerous situation for BAT and APC.
English

@ui_shehu You are too complacent to see this wave raging. Still in comfort zone. Kwatinu!
English

When I saw people sharing pictures of the political rally they claimed happened today for Kwankwaso’s reception into the ADC, I want to remind everyone that something similar happened in the 2019 election season. In the 2023 election, Kwankwaso held rallies in nearly 500 plus local government areas, but in Kano State, the only state he won, he received 58.59 % of the presidential votes.
English

@matthewselong @U_Rochas @ALPHALEO_OMEGA Not really late. Your last statement is the game changer for the ADC.
English

@U_Rochas @ALPHALEO_OMEGA I still feel it’s too late already, BAT may win. But also depends on who is running in ADC. Let’s wait and see
English

@Pinkose_123 @U_Rochas This is a statement that revealed how complaisance will destroy APC.
English

@U_Rochas It's totally different... By 2013, we all know Buhari owns the APC ticket.. CPC,ACN , and ANPP collapsed their structures to form APC.. even some faction of APGA and PDP defected early to throw their weight behind Buhari... Almost all the big wigs in ADC have Pres. ambition.

Yes, there’s a lot of message. Here’s some of them:
- The family is in a clean home, they have food to cook, and the children are well dressed. So, someone obviously had to work to pay for all these.
- The wife is smiling and doesn’t look tired. If she had gone to work the whole day and had to resume cooking at home, she would have been tired and wouldn’t be cooking so happily. So, we can infer that the husband was the one who went to work in order to provide for the family.
- Despite having gone to work to provide for the family, the husband, a present father, came back home to his family, is still looking joyful, and is relaxing by watching the TV he bought. He only gets to watch the TV occasionally. His children and wife understand this, and they’re allowing him enjoy his TV time without disturbance.
- She’s pregnant even while nursing an infant. It is only in a happy, non-abusive home that a woman would be willing to give birth to as many as possible children without much gap between them, as she’s sure that the husband is present and capable of taking care of them.
- The woman, even while pregnant, is still beautiful, unlike the average Nigerian woman who stops using make up and filters during pregnancy then claims that pregnancy makes women ugly.
Overall, this is a healthy, loving, and happy family where every member contributes towards its happiness.

A lot of message in this picture.

Daniel Bwala was one of those I watched as part of my learning in political communication, and we both happened to have served on the same Edo 2020 governorship campaign council as campaign spokespersons. Needless to say, I was the youngest in that group. I have always accorded him that respect. But as a Nigerian, this is difficult to watch on several levels.
English

@IU_Wakilii The LCM of ADC not making reasonable impact in this coming election is by not having Obi as their candidate. You gaslight Obidients and even the ruling party gaslight them too. That’s to let you know that he’s the game changer! Hear this, the ruling party carefree about the rest.
English

Rotimi Amaechi is Peter Obi’s biggest threat in the ADC, not Atiku Abubakar. A lot of people are not paying attention to his movement, and they won’t see him coming.
Also, if Peter Obi backs out of this coalition, he will establish himself beyond reasonable doubt as someone who ran away from a primary election twice but somehow expects to win the general election.
If you remember the 2022 APC primaries, you’ll understand what I’m saying. Nobody really saw Amaechi coming. And the crazy thing is that today, he is the easiest southerner to sell in the North.
Rotimi Ameachi fully backed by the coalition will give PBAT tough time in the NE/NW.

@ChisomAgbafor There’s this man in my office, he’s a replica of this story- arrival 6-7am daily, departs 8-10pm daily and he had no nuclear family members. He just retired but still comes to work on disguise that he’s preparing his handover notes.
English

This colleague of mine is always the first to arrive.
8:00am sharp.
She finishes her work early, keeps everything organized, but leaves by 5pm on the dot.
Meanwhile there’s this guy who stays till 8pm every night because there is no light in his house.
They called him “hardworking.”
That was the day I realized something:
Productivity doesn’t impress people.
Visible suffering does.
English

@Crypto__Pablo @DavidHundeyin That’s a propaganda! Most politician caught in corruption would like the state to hide them on that disguise.
English

@DavidHundeyin It's mind opening to know about all this, is it also part of propaganda against Abacha's regime that a lot of announcements has been made over the past years about recovery of Nigeria's looted funds by the Abacha's regime 🤔
English

"You grew up hearing tales," and that is precisely the problem. Because you have never stopped to ask yourself WHY you heard those specific tales and WHO made sure you heard those tales.
You "grew up hearing" that Abacha supposedly stole $4bn, but there is ACTUAL DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE that his immediate military predecessor made at least $12bn of Nigeria's Gulf War oil windfall disappear into private hands - why didn't you "grow up hearing" that?
You "grew up hearing" that Abacha was a "corrupt dictator," but why did you NOT "grow up hearing" that the actual dictator who occupied that seat before him singlehandedly minted at least 3 of the USD billionaires that you worship today, including his wife's tailor that was awarded an oil block and is now Africa's richest woman, or another one that was a taxi driver and now owns a telco and an oil company?
Who made sure you didn't hear that, but you heard something about Abacha?
You "grew up hearing" that Nigerians suffered economically under Abacha, but you can NEVER prove it with numbers because IT IS NOT TRUE! Nigerians did suffer from fuel shortages and other things that led to the infamous Abacha stove, but numbers cannot lie and the numbers show that inflation in Nigeria under Abacha fell to single digits, the USD exchange rate fell and stabilised remarkably, and Nigeria's foreign reserves grew from $200m to over $9bn - without high oil prices.
Since the "Abacha hardship" cannot be proven with numbers - which directly contradict the narrative - someone has made sure that you "grew up hearing tales" and anecdotes in lieu of actual facts, figures and data. And funny enough, even in filling your heads with those anecdotes and stories, the period of 1985-1993, which was actually the most damaging period in Nigeria's entire postwar history, is NEVER mentioned.
You hear a lot about Abacha killing people extra judicially, but you NEVER hear that extra judicial killing of private citizens first became institutionalised under Ibrahim Babangida - to the point of sending letter bombs to kill journalists. You NEVER hear that the first time in Nigeria's history when Nigerians began emigrating enmasse was during that period, and that the reason why almost every urban Nigerian family is split across multiple countries and continents is Ibrahim Babangida and his ruinous SAP era.
You don't hear about how drug trafficking became so institutionalised under Babangida that people like Bola Tinubu started vying for political office in 1992. You don't hear about how Babangida was instrumental in reducing Nigeria's influence in Africa by cutting funding to African liberation movements, while providing funding and support to his fellow CIA assets like Yoweri Museveni to gain power that they have not relinquished since 1985.
You instead "grew up hearing" one specific set of stories to reinforce one specific idea in your mind, so that even when you come across hard numbers and facts that contradict the stories, they have become part of your emotional makeup and are impossible to dislodge.
This was EXACTLY how the exact same American information warriors came in 2015 - when Nigeria was enjoying its biggest economic breakout since 1974 and was the 3rd fastest growing economy on the planet - and they started filling your head with stories about how "Jonathan is corrupt and incompetent" and you had never had it that bad before, to the point where you voluntarily went to the polls and removed the guy who took you into the MINT bloc, only to replace him with Muhammadu fucking Buhari.
Now here you are 11 years later, and you clearly still don't understand the power of storytelling to mess up your mind and destroy your life.
Continue cursing Abacha like Washington wants you to. Shebi his murder brought prosperity to Nigeria and you're better off now?
Whenever you wake up will be your morning.
Enitoluwafe@1Tolufe
We grew up hearing tales of how bad things were during Abacha’s era. How people were using sawdust to cook like the nation was under a medevial siege. How people danced in the streets when the news of his death came. Now, Hundeyin is whitewashing him on some CIA conspiracy???

@Eze_Wilberforce Who do you think will become the 48th president of thr united states?
A Dem or a Republican?
English

Donald Trump is their last man.
Immediately after the board meeting two weeks ago, I told you: When you hear "PEACE PEACE PEACE," then prepare for "WAR WAR WAR."
A week later, Iran has been hit. More peace meetings are coming. 🤐
A time is coming when America will no longer be feared. Donald Trump is their last man. They should enjoy it while it lasts.
Once he leaves office, all the countries Americans have stepped on will come for America.🤐
America will cough, and the world will no longer catch a cold.
That's when Africa will be a safety net. If you're an entrepreneur and a builder from Africa, build from here. Home is better. The world is coming to meet you here.
You will remember this post.

I can now confirm that the people who say things like, “You cannot fight the government and win,” are simply ignorant cowards who assume everyone is like them.
Let me tell you why.
Something happened yesterday that every Nigerian should be proud of and should learn from.
Many Nigerians do not understand the power they hold as citizens.
Fear and low self esteem have kept our people silent and allowed oppression to continue.
Recently, The minister of Works, Dave Umahi, charged a Business woman named Tracy to court for alleged defamation.
The woman had earlier come to social media to accuse him of owing her 250 million naira, oppressing her, and attempting to sleep with her.
After the court hearing, she was detained while awaiting bail. During this period, she fainted and was rushed to the hospital.
A release warrant was later signed for her immediate release.
However, correctional officers and police officers insisted that she had to be transported from Wise Abuja to the prison in Keffi Nasarawa state, before she could be released, because that was “the procedure.”
They might have succeeded, but other Nigerians who came to support her said no.
As they were arguing OBIdients in Wuse began to gather at the location one by one from their places of work and business.
Before the officers could whisk her away, a large crowd of ordinary Nigerians had assembled and insisted that she be released immediately, right there.
In that moment, something powerful happened. People looked at one another and realized that they are the ones who truly hold the power in this country.
The police and correctional personnel had no choice but to adjust their so called procedure and release her there and then.
She gave an interview and went home.
This story is for those who say, “Even if we vote, they will rig.” No, they will not. They rig because you do not come out to vote.
Many of refuse to register to vote and refuse to come out, then we later complain that they rigged.
If you are there they won't rig.
Some say "it is impossible to stand up to the government" Yes, it is possible. The only reason you think it is not, is because you and your friends never show up for anything.
You live your life like nothing in the country or society is your business.
Any oppression they throw at you, you just accept it and keep managing.
We need to change that lifestyle.
If you are someone who always “minds your business” even when you see something wrong in your community, you never ask questions, you never intervene, and teach your children to do the same thing, then you are teaching your children fear and cowardice not wisdom.
That behaviour is an Anti-Christian behaviour. Christians don't see things going wrong in their society and do nothing,
Christians don't teach their children to be cowards and run away, when they are supposed to say something or do something to help.
That behaviour needs to change.
Start paying attention to your environment, your country, and your people.
You will never experience the power of the people if you continue living an isolated, antisocial, “I do not like politics” lifestyle.
That is a lifestyle fear, selfishness and cowardice. It is anti-social, anti-progress and anti-Christian.
It is time to abandon it.
Peter Obi or nothing. 2027

I Just Want to Rant
This is a sincere concern
I was in a Space that ran for almost 24 hours yesterday organized by @Dukeofileife
After listening to people who are in ‘Politics’/ opposition party speak
Here are my conclusions
1. Election is less than 12 Months, Peter Obi is Yet to decide which party he is running from. (So everyone is still doing guess work). I heard some pdp boys still talking about whatever Obi is given in ADC, he should take, even if it’s party chairman(At this Stage?!)
2. If ADC later gives him (which I doubt). There will be no enough time to get someone to man polling unit in all centre in Nigeria (Repeating 2023 mistakes)
3. If a miracle happen and we get everything sorted, campaigning and getting to the grassroots might be difficult
4. Let’s say that’s a Walk in Park. Winning at the ballot box is not equal to being announced Winner. These people rig with impunity. Sometimes they don’t even tipex, they write whatever they want to write and tell you to go to hell (court)
5. I have heard of protest. But I have seen people plan protest and ruling party paying people to plan protest to counter protest.
So protest might not be successful. It most likely will be infiltrated or hijacked.
What do I think is the solution?
To be sincere, I don’t know. These thoughts eat me up. The only thing that crosses my mind is if the miracle that happened to Abacha, can happen again. This time, not to an individual, but group of people at once. The haters of Nigeria, the masterminds behind blood shed.
Actually, I just want to rant and I feel better doing this!
What do you think is the way forward for Nigeria?!
