One thing that confused me about TWW outside of the one delve I figured there would be WAY MORE Black Empire Old God remnants of buildings and things buried.

@lunaire_rndm What's even funnier is that all of the main characters are straight and has been/ currently in relationships... all of the queer characters that have been introduced are side characters. Mathias/Flynn, Pelagos, Chromie. None in the mainline story rn

Shadowlands is objectively worse than Midnight by every single metric and its not even close Midnight having bad lore is what it is, but SL also had the shittiest gameplay systems ever conceived on top. It almost killed the game for a reason Bad lore can be ignored by gameplay

@pixiepiezs @Aedrareforged People who raid and push keys also care about lore. There’s no concrete way to separate those groups because they do overlap to a point. What I can say is that endgame activities requiere more commitment, a lot of people don’t reach that milestone and there’s data to backup that.

Characters *can* be used to represent the narrative ideal, but if you use them to simply appear and wash away any flaws in the surrounding characters, you end up telling a story with very little depth or future to explore.
We can’t have the entire cast of WoW become Anduin.

@Portergauge XIV is able to do the same thing so much more eloquently and effortlessly. It's why I still read and follow WoWs narrative / lore, but I have given up hope that it will *EVER* be good. At best it will only be mid. Short stories, books and video drama outshine the game by leagues.

@Jiromeru @Portergauge Cata's ending was terrible, but saying ALL of MOP was terrible??? The only thing I felt was terrible about MOP was the last patch. Even then, Siege of Orgrimmar was a great raid. WOD's Frostwolf storyline was the best they've made for orcs tbh.

@Portergauge Ultimately Blizzard can't tell stories well. Never really could. Ever since Vanilla. Earlier expansions floundered the story on so many levels. Cata's ending? All of MoP? WoD had some decent narrative through lines but still suffers. Legion was heralded & is mid at best etc.
