In January, Carney made waves around the world — and ruffled MAGA feathers — by declaring at the World Economic Forum that American global dominance is ending because "this bargain no longer works." He outlined how the destabilizing effects of the Trump presidency are rewriting the global power structure. Canada will now look to other nations to build their prosperity, relying less on the United States which is always just one bad election away from another Trump. Clearly, Carney's vision of the future has struck a chord with Canadians.
