@ArizonaDOT Has the wait time increased at the 89a switchbacks? If so is this change permanent? This has increased commute time for employees, causing large delays and there has been no notice of the change. Please inform us of changes to this major commuter highway.

@ArizonaDOT Anyway the area north of MP 375 can be open? This is very impactful to the businesses in the area and if there are no hazards south of the rockfall it should be opened.

*CLOSURE REMINDER* State Route 89A is CLOSED between Flagstaff and Sedona (mileposts 375-398). The closure is due to rockslides in the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway. Motorists should seek alternate routes like Interstate 17.

Did you hear a big boom near SR 89A today? It was likely this boulder hitting the road in the closed area between Sedona and Flagstaff. The highway remains closed in both directions between mileposts 375-398.

@JamilCoury Here was the crossing before Table Mesa aid yesterday afternoon. I ended up swimming across it was so high.

@ArizonaDOT you’re light timers on 89a are not working well and causing back ups on the switchbacks. Northbound light was only green for 30 seconds then red for 17 minutes. Probably should look into it before the busy weekend. Thank you.
