COVID-19 weekly update – Friday 1 September 2023
In the 7 days to 4pm Thursday 31 August:
- 1,917 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded: 1,101 rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 816 PCR tests
- 15 lives lost

@NukesAreNext @NSWHealth @AlboMP If the vaccines either don’t work, or wear off (and I think we all agree on this), then I think your table only shows correlation. Not causation.
If the vast majority of the population are vaxed, then it stands to reason that the vast majority of the hospitalised/dead are vaxed

Can you please explain TotalCasesYesterday?
If IncreaseRateToday=NewCasesToday/TotalCasesYesterday
Then TotalCasesYesterday = 162.032
Because 1.87 = 303 / 162.032
I would have thought TotalCasesYesterday would be more than NewCasesYesterday? What am I missing?
