A very wrong decision by SBP. Why they need a rate increase when we don't have any inflation data for this month which will be released next month? I am not an economist but they are wrong and they should have waited for the data. Even if there were reports of only 2 committee members voting in favor of rate increases, the interest rate is increased by 100BPS. This is shameful. It is like: making a grave for a healthy human being. Shame on them.

Chinese are happy Pakistanis and Indians don't produce that much products/high quality yet not as par American standards. Why? Because, it gives them a monopoly over the pricing. Cheap, high quality but not as par with American standards but acceptable to them. In western countries and especially in America, they see every Chinese product with suspicious, especially in the DoD (department of defense or they called it department of War now) Any product that has a Chinese label is banned in the military even if they use any product remotely have any Chinese deposition. In my opinion, this is a huge opportunity for third world countries to sell their products there but we need to beat them in the price plus quality which unfortunately very hard.

Jazz aka Jazzcash buying TPL insurance company. They will either delist or maybe buy a majority position and overtake the company. I think, they are going to incorporate TPL insurance into their digital space aka Jazzcash or (and) other products.

@TalhaEjaz07ee No, I am not planning to contribute to society. I have no such plans. Maybe charity work, yes, 100%, I love giving money to people who do meaningful work for example Pakistan sweet homes, and some others that teach kids with no parents.

Wrong. First, Institutions don't make money through options, I don't know why you mentioned it. It is a good vehicle for brokerage firms to make money. Second, retails actually make money at the expense of institutions. Prices see huge growth only when institutional investors are buying and not retail. And, here in this post, I am talking about The level of information available to a retail investor and not for retail traders.

Institutional investors in Pakistan give institutions a bad name. World over, institutional investors usually make money at the expense of retail investors. Most of the wealth transfer from retail to institutions is through options, though. And PSX does not have that.

We Pakistanis, should be thankful to America for giving access to their best AI tech, that they spend hundreds of billions of dollars. And china for stealing their models and making them open source.

They called AI a bubble. Well, I do agree there are some companies that have been valued at extremely high multiples but they could do a lot more in the future and then the multiples will make sense. Second, how is it a bubble when it has so many great applications and everyone in the society is using it? The infra is there for the support of AI unlike when we were in the dot com bubble where a pet website was trading at extremely high valuations.

You know a lot of people say: oh, AI is going to do this and that, well, AI is going to be hugely support the economic growth of a person. You can now work using AI and do 10x in 8 hours then you will be doing in the past without AI.

Don't hate AI. Let AI accerlate and don't be a decel.

If you are betting on Copper (the commodity) , please don't. Photonics is taking its role in the majority of the industry now and to a higher extent in the future.

Is there any type of information that institutional grade investors could get that a retail investor can't? I think AI made it possible for any literate person to learn about a company that they wanted to invest in.

If there was no risk of inflation/interest rate increase, UBL deserves 600+ PKR per share.

UBL is helping my ship sail. UBL is the best trade I did this year. Not selling anytime soon.

@Napoha_ Last year, I had UBL too, and it was my only position, but I sold pre split at 30% gains. So, I wanted to get in at the right price.

Some smart yet lazy people found out you can actually sell your real estate/properties through the stock market. How interesting it is. And, interestingly, a lot of people will pour money into this.
