I think Kinopio is probably already GDPR compliant as a side-effect of how it's designed, but I'm not sure what the best way to verify that is

Working on a new iteration of the Kinopio about/marketing page by roughly planning out the sequencing of new sections, then diving into copy and code.

In modern computing, the split isn’t between power users and regular users. Increasingly, you’re either a power user or a disenfranchised user.

Updated firefox and got the new ai settings panel, I already use the on-device translation that they've had for a year~ and find it very useful. All the other stuff for me ranges from mid to crappy

@trillhause_ Society assumes people with money are smart, and the more money you have the more smart or discerning you must obviously be. But most VC stuff starts to make sense when you question that assumption.

LMAO, why is YC funding this slop. It's laughable to think that you can simulate someones life. This is purely for entertainment purpose like the beer app on iPhone. Even if it could work in the future (impossible imo), what kind of life is life without agency. Going to hide the name because I am tried of bait marketing. I want to disincentivize this behaviour. This hopefully gets them fewer eyeballs due to added friction.

Because I'm not VC backed and I can't solve all my server problems by just paying for more compute (aka Ozempic for devops), my philosophy has to be "I'm going to stay with the cheapest server hosting tier and optimize like hell whenever things get slow"

TIL if you use raycast like I do , you can replace the macOS native emoji picker shortcut (cmd-ctrl-space), which usually takes 1-2s~ seconds to load every time you invoke it, with a good one that just shows up instantly.

AGI has been achieved internally! Just got my RTX PRO 6000 and paired it with my 5090 Expect ~110 tokens/sec on StepFun 3.5 Flash / Minimax 2.5, slowing down to ~40 tokens/sec as a 100k context window is full And ~215 tokens/sec with GPT OSS 120b, down to est 150 tokens/sec as the 128k context window is full Code output of these ~200b models is incredibly good and both nicely pass the hard tests i put Deepseek R1 through :)

Correction: Had a chat with the author and there's a hidden input checkbox html element and the vibration happens by rapidly checking and unchecking it. iOS Safari does a native vibration when inputs are checked, so this tricks your phone into vibrating. TIL, v neat idea.

Really clever hack that stumped me until I read the code github.com/lochie/web-hap… The “haptics” is actually an audio frequency that makes the phone feel like it’s vibrating. Put your finger over the phone speaker when you tap the buttons and you’ll feel what I mean.
