Interested in adaptation and evolution of complex organisms at a molecular level and how pleiotropy might be involved > read on this thread about our work from Loudet’s group @ijpb_fr in collaboration with F. Vasseur and C. Violle rdcu.be/b6Gm1

Very excited to be starting as a postdoc researcher in the new group of @Alma_DalCo at @dbc_unil ! 😁 Plenty of microfluidics to come to study population dynamics and collective behavior in bacteria 🦠😀 Also looking forward to joining the @NCCRMicrobiomes community !👌

@PlantEvolution Tomatoes are doing pretty well here in Toulouse thanks to a relatively dry weather since mid-July

New preprint @biorxivpreprint! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We looked into the genetic and environmental factors underlying the incredible variation for floral colour patterns in wild sunflowers (see below)…ups, wait a second!... 1/12

At this scale, the experiments looked crazy but field exp make sense to study plant adaptation and allow to grow A LOT of individuals
ECOGEN Lab@EcogenLab

#LIPME_ECOGEN almost done this year with the field experiments😀 [#FieldExperiment1] A Bulk Segregant Analysis experiment (~10,000 plants) to map the locus underlying a ‘female’ phenotype occurring naturally in one of our favorite French population. Do you see the difference?

Just returned from my first collection trip to northern CA and already trying to figure out when I can go back. Here is Silene serpentinicola, a red flowering endemic to the serpentine soils of the Smith River basin in Six Rivers National Forest.

It is official, the Bombarely lab is moving to @IBMCP. It is always a bittersweet feeling to leave wonderful colleagues at the UNIMI but we are quite excited to start this new adventure closer to old friends and collaborators. More soon...
