Kinda crazy that @HyperliquidX 's HIP-3 markets surge to nearly 50% of perp volume as onchain stock trading grows.
These trade 24/7 (including weekends/off-hours when traditional markets are closed), settled in USDC/stablecoins, with leverage up to 20-30x.
The main driver is synthetic/tokenized perpetuals on traditional assets:
Stocks (e.g., NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, MU).
Indices (e.g., XYZ100 ~ Nasdaq-like, SP500).
Commodities (gold, silver, crude oil/CL, Brent).
Even pre-IPO/private company exposure (e.g., SpaceX).
HIP-3's share of total Hyperliquid perp volume has climbed from roughly 2% at the start of the year to around 50% now, coinciding with growing retail appetite for trading equities onchain.
