The problem with Scott O’Neil finding outside investors is that LIV could easily be purchased in its entirety for $1. No real TV deal, very little sponsorship not PIF affiliated. Very expensive to operate, massive player payroll, likely impossible to keep Bryson. Anyone buying it would have to strip it down to the studs and basically start over, losing hundreds of millions in the process. Which begs the question, if you have a few billion lying around and want to own a golf league, why not start your own without the toxic brand, without the adversarial relationship with the entire golf world instead?

Javonte Williams: 1,338 yards + 13 TD last season. Great comeback story. Set up for a nice encore in 2026. Hell yeah. That said: How the hell did he only gain 137 yards on 51 targets. 2.7 yards per target! 2nd-worst mark since 1978 AKA as far back as Pro Football Reference goes!

Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.

Minnesota makes a ton of sense. They have natural rivalries with teams like Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit from other sports. They’re also on an island relative to Western Conference teams. Most importantly though? Minneapolis is a mid sized market with one of the games most marketable stars. Tossing this Timberwolves team into the East would breathe life into the conference and even the balance of power some.
