This is why a lot of what happens in Relic is one-time. Some cosmetics are limited server-wide drops Some ingame events have yet to be witnessed by players that put 120+ hours in the game Of course - for all of this to work, the game has to be good - but the rest is easy

Diablo on @solana was an idea that just made sense, and it stuck. A wallet-bound character that evolves as you grind - is effectively an NFT. Progression+effort = scarcity. Loot-based economies already evolve organically. Tokenizing them adds so many features that otherwise wouldn't be possible

Big update. Database migration in progress - everyone should get it in a few minutes. Items, skills, pets, levels, gameplay, talents, cosmetics - and entirely new ways to play. Multiple classes per wallet (as you've all been asking)!

Sadly this is the only (out of a dozen) implementations that have worked against aggressive bot clusters Tried making the cost as low as it can go (it's about 20 cents now, give or take, and you can always get your cents back if you don't like it haha) But I agree a better way is needed

I'm saying that allowing players to experience part of the game before asking them to commit to buying tokens would be better than gating them out immediately. For example, you could let everyone access the first dungeon level, and then require them to commit tokens to continue. But I see the bot problem

This is being worked on, it's just a little more involved The core idea was that each character is an NFT - wallet-bound and on-chain (And to let you transfer it, per-wallet, on a marketplace) Obviously this has an in-game impact and people don't like the one-wallet char limit, so the approach needs to be rethought. The only reason it wasn't done right away is it would delay much bigger updates You can expect this to be out by tomorrow

late night game review of @playrelic (sound on) personal review: 9/10 one of the few games where i chose to play past 15 minutes because it was fun, and that's the top factor im looking for in terms of how im scoring game was smooth and seems quite well thought out only complaint is the 10,000 tokens to play aswell as oddly high prices for ingame purchases (but that's fine, buying is obviously optional) game was simple enough to understand in 5 minutes but deep enough to keep me intrigued, very well done on that end big fan of dungeon crawlers, so this is definitely my type of game. good work!

Looking at how players interact with the Pyro class now - it's clear this was a step in the right direction A similar approach is now being applied to every class (in line with its' core archetype)

The Pyromancer class has been completely reworked! The class identity is now - snowballing, chaining spells, & clearing mob crowds to refresh cooldowns, and extend the duration of his ult (which makes him unstoppable - so long as he can keep it online)
