I am going off for three months. I had a call with @erickoester last Friday and his advice was very sound: PROBLEM - I am all over the place with my project. I have been for the past six months. I got cautht up with a mess of tactics where the core issue is that I lost focus. If you have ever felt this way, keep reading… SOLUTION - Eric’s advice for me was to talk to people I have helped to see what they found useful, what they liked or didn’t like, to have a clearer idea of what my strengths are, and whom I want to serve more. Well, I should listen to him since he has a long entrepreneurship background, has written a book on mentorship and, most important, he helped me before to write my own book. (If you think you have a book in you, dm him to talk about his Manuscripts program). ACTIONS - As soon as I hung up with Eric, I called a trusted friend and had the very first of those conversations. - I have decided to stop posting and engaging on X for three months in order to reflect on my project focus. I also will be learning about AI and automation for creators and will share what I learn in my newsletter Playful Productivity Hub (link in bio). If you want to reach out, I will be checking DMs regularly, but you can also find me in linkedin, through my newsletter, or email, creativesenseiway@gmail.com

I am into finding joyful ways to get the same thing, like playing my favourite music, serving my favourite beverage while I do repetitive boring tasks. Or playing interesting podcasts while I clean the house. I would not necessarily quit if I don´t like what I am doing, but I would quit if the task goes strongly against my values.

Most people force themselves to do things they dislike. Few try to find new, joyful ways to get the same thing. Most people inevitably quit because they hate what they do. The others find a way they love and achieve what they want. What will you do?

Hi friends, I've just sent out another issue of my newsletter and this one is about getting started in AI without stress and tech language. Many folks here already now a lot, and are creating businesses with AI, but there is a whole world of people who look the other way because it is too techie and overwhelming. If you know someone that falls in that group, send them my way, or send them this post. They will appreciate you for it. Oh, by the way, the title says it is for women, it was a marketing thing, but the content is 100% for everyone...

@vanessaosheaa @erickoester yes, sometimes a pause+reflection makes more progress in the right direction. I did some orienteering a long time ago, and if I didn’t spend enough time setting the compass right… I would go off running around in the wrong direction…

Combine exercise with family time! Family bike rides or nature walks = quality time + healthy habits. Your side hustle shouldn't cost you your health! I can't get my son to do it, but maybe you can :)

@MrBelhomme @ramit suggests to cut down mercilessly in expenses that you don’t care much about, so you can spend extravagantly in things you love. That makes for a rich life. I say that applies to time allocation too 😊

You know what, that's actually solid advice. We all get bogged down with trying to keep everything perfect, and it just sucks the life outta us. Sometimes it's way better to chill a bit and focus on the things that truly matter, our wellbeing, loved ones, and chasing those passion projects.

Anything truly worthwhile takes a long time. Yet, every time you hop into something else you reset your progress. Instead, learn how to commit to something for a long time so you can actually reap its rewards.
