@TrueBlueNancy @ThreattEmily I was warned by various people including Neils mum and a neighbour that after the funeral people just disappear, I didn’t want to believe it… but it’s true… they do… there life carries on and ours falls apart… sending hugs lovely… always here if you want a chat xxx

No one watched my healing process, (which I'm still going through). They all left me after my husband's funeral.😢 People tell you they will be there for you, after your loved ones death, and visitation. Suddenly, after the funeral, they all go on about their lives.💔

@KayeSteinsapir Man I understand this too well. It gets harder. People think because I was hiking in Yosemite I was OK. Wrong answer!

A year after Molly’s death, everything is harder. Grief is impacting all our relationships. We’re so tired, and have almost nothing left to give. People want us to be better. They think we are because they see us out and smiling sometimes. But we aren’t. We’re just getting by.

@KayeSteinsapir 🙏💔 I understand. I lost an adult son 10 months ago and I'm so tired. This is awful Molly is gone, no easy answer why only to say God has her safe with him. But you have young children to love & nurture here for now, so keep up the good work. We are rooting for you.

I worked hard to rebuild my physical self after cancer. Since Molly died, my strength is gone. I just did a workout that used to be easy. Now it’s hard. It’s discouraging. But Molly won’t be the reason I give up. I’m still here, in this body. Grateful to move it 💪. #TEAMMOLLY

@KayeSteinsapir I've gained since my son passed. I moved across country, during global pandemic and forced to work from home living alone. Isolation has been horrible. I hear Alex telling me "keep moving mom!" I've recently got back to exercising n eating healthy!!

@KayeSteinsapir @pandama51533536 I have no idea who he is or what he stands for. I just know I'm seeing his name mentioned all over social and it's never in a good way.

@pandama51533536 I think I saw one episode of someone eating a giant slug or something equally revolting and that was enough for me 🤢. I didn’t look at it long enough to notice anyone who was on it. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t know and doesn’t care!

Am I the only one who wasn’t aware of Joe Rogan until recently? His name was vaguely familiar but I never listened to him and didn’t know what he looked like. I wish I still didn’t know anything about this dude.

Parents sometimes find pictures of Molly that I haven’t seen before and send them to me. Like this one a friend sent this morning. Molly looks like Eli with long hair ☺️. She’s about his same age here. #TEAMMOLLY

@KayeSteinsapir You have given me insight into what others are feeling at the loss of a child. Now I understand that it's not something you can "get over". The grief may even get worse as time goes on. I'm so sorry this has to be your life now. I'm crying for you and Molly. 😥❤🌷

@KayeSteinsapir I literally just had this conversation w a friend that lost her son to drunk driver 7 yrs ago yesterday. People don't know what to say and almost avoid you but I learned they're uneducated on the pain and stopped having hurt feelings

A year. 52 weeks without hearing your laugh. Looking into your dark eyes that were always filled with light. Feeling your touch. When you left, part of my soul did too. The time we had was a blessing. It wasn’t nearly enough. Molly, we will never stop missing and loving you.

@nathanand I wondered if this was normal behavior. I've felt tgis same thing after losing my son. I've never not taken great care of my hygiene. It's weird to me. It seems the longer time has passed, the worse the pain has gotten. People shouldn't yell parents it gets better

@KayeSteinsapir @nathanand I had this conversation last night with a very good friend. We talk a lot; we've both experienced the loss of a child. Mine has been 2 yrs and hers is 5 months.

Running errands and missing my feminist little sidekick, who never stopped talking when we were in the car. Everything is so much quieter these days. I miss you, Molly.

@Metsfan19863 @KayeSteinsapir @RepRaskin Truly a miracle. I returned to work 3 weeks after my son passed. I drove back to DC, worked for 3 wks then to CA for 16 months on 2/20 during beginning 9f pandemic away from everything/one I knew back in ky. Idk how I did, truly a miracle. Prayers for all grieving parents

I sobbed listening to this. Thank you, @RepRaskin. Our beloved 12 year old daughter, Molly, was killed in an accident a few weeks after she spoke eloquently to her 6th grade classmates about the insurrection. Our children are always with us. Thank you for this reminder today 🙏.

Guess what? We’re looking into adopting a new family member! A girl cat. Even Jon noticed that our house has too much male energy, and we need a girl pet to help balance us out. We’ve been on petfinder for hours! I know Molly will like us adopting a kitty girl 🐱💕. #TEAMMOLLY

@lbbrown1974 @KayeSteinsapir I am so very sorry to read about your son and now grandson. Following platforms of parents who've lost a child does let us know we aren't alone.I lost my 33 yr old son 2 yrs ago. My brother lost his in '89 and helped me tremendously as you will your daughter🙏

@KayeSteinsapir You lost your dear Molly days after we lost our dear 18-year old son Cal. It is hard, but we are both learning to live our new lives the best we can in honor of our lost kids. Holding you and Molly in my heart. ❤️

@ChickStarr65 @KayeSteinsapir @terrikwt_ @POTUS Exactly. People will move heaven and earth to get to their families during Christmas, especially after not seeing them last year. People aren't going to move heaven and earth for a cruise

Astounded that millions are boarding planes during the holidays without proof of vaccination or even a negative Covid test. In the midst of #Omicron? WTAF?!
