Now that the banter has reduced, can we talk about how fixture congestions is playing a big factor in how bad EPL teams perform in UCL K/O phase. As if playing two domestic cups isn’t enough, they start Carabao cup as early as August when we only join Copa del Rey in December. And in no way should Carabao Semis be 2 legged, even FA cups shouldn’t extend to extra time, take Chelsea vs Wrexham for instance, after the regular time they should be going to penalties. They played 120 minutes while their opponents PSG have their game postponed. Rest plays a big role in how effective athletes perform.
