Cambridge Engine 1 arrived to smoke showing from the 4th floor of the Harvard Randolph Hall on Bow St early this morning. Lines were stretched and companies quickly located and knocked down a mattress fire.

II) Box 47: Fire was confined to one room & contents on floor 4 by one operating sprinkler head. Fire companies completed extinguishment & overhauled. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation. Cambridge Police, @HarvardU_Police, & @Pro EMS assisted on scene.

Here’s what I did do. I drove him home. Well first we ran an errand to get ice cream for my wife. I said “my lady wants ice cream so we’re gonna go get some. There’s a lesson here if you can see it.” I asked him about his grades, his hobbies, what video games he likes, and his family. He remarked that he had only ever been to one girls house before and they didn’t talk to him or seem to care that he was there. I think I did okay, although my daughter was mad I didn’t let her come with to take him home. I just told her that she got to hang out with him for 2 hours I get 2 minutes to take him home. I don’t like all the “clean weapons” posturing. If someone did that to my son I’d be angry.
