Seriously considering just signing out and not returning It's no good for the soul. It was different over the years because I also used it for business in various ways. Now it's a time suck, engine of division or discourse and quite frankly I don't want to put my life into the hands of AI. AI and various algorithms could be a wonderful tool but like a hammer, one day you just get smacked by it. I just don't care about a social platform enough to keep it. Time is precious, your days are numbered but you never will know how many you have left. I'm turning my focus inward and upward. My most recent timeline will be a tribute to Charlie. I didn't follow him, never knew him but his faith defined him. While I support all those that shall follow in is political footsteps, I will follow his biblical ones which followed my Lord and Savior Jesus, The King of Kings. God and my family are my focus. For this next season of life I want something that is not here. I've made some great friends here and talked with amazing people but I don't have a desire to be "personal" or share my life on these platforms, so I have to ask myself......why waste the time. When Erika spoke it was clear she was carried by the Holy Spirit. Listening to her was a true testament to the power of faith and the light of Jesus Christ. It was the most touching and humbling thing I have heard in a very long time. Her voice carried a weight beyond this world, as if God’s truth was flowing through her. The strength, wisdom, and courage she showed could only come from an unshakable faith in the Lord. Her words reminded us of the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:8 that to be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord, and of Romans 8:38–39 which tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Her testimony also reflected Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Through her faith we are reminded that even in grief, God is present, His promises are true, and His kingdom cannot be shaken. And it is there, in that kingdom, where Charlie now rests in eternal glory. I hope this is a call to all those who do not yet know the character of Christ to seek Him, to know Him, and to understand the unshakable hope and peace that only He gives.
