What people don’t see… are the teachers sitting in their rooms after school, trying to hold it together. We give everything we have to our classes, and some days it feels like it’s not enough because some students just don’t care. Those are the days that hit the hardest. But we still show up. We keep showing up, for the ones who need us, even when it takes a toll.

@lpies3 @BeccaTurnis @MsEscoTeaches Are there bad teachers out there, yes. There are also students that don't want to be in school and don't try no matter how much support is given to them. Teachers get blamed for the kids that do that, usually by the parents that don't care until it's to late

Today I had a student finish a 10 question reading comprehension test in 2 minutes… but yes, let’s keep judging teachers based on test scores. 😵‍💫
