On every show I get asked to promote a project, but I say no, let’s keep the focus on the issues. I never shill my game. But now people want to know about it because “journalists” with very obvious DEI agendas have thrown it up as some kind of gotcha because we are, collectively as gamers, kicking them in the teeth the past 3 weeks. They are losing and desperate. Em-8ER is an incredible project, my passion project, that is going to be in that sweet spot in AA. It has had ups and downs, my health and my family’s heath being part of it (much better now), and we have been in the middle of a relaunch. During this time, months ago, we turned off all backer packs as I don’t feel comfortable selling packs until we relaunch the project. We do not sell packs to any newcomers (we do, 2 days of every month, offer a limited window for existing backers to upgrade if they wish). We are 100% crowd funded because I believe we must be free of DEI money like venture capital and AAA publisher money. Our backers agree. We’re also looking at opening up our custom-made funding platform to other games, so that the Patreons of the world can’t cancel them, and gamers can be connected to great DEI free projects and creators, games, mods and possibly tabletop. I love the game and the great community we’ve built around it. The backer community has been very supportive and you can ask them yourselves on our Discord. Funny enough, since these journalist attacks, I have a wave of new people asking if they can back the project and I have to tell them sorry, we aren’t doing that right now. Again, journalist screech, and we just keep winning and kicking their ass. It’s going to be a tremendous year for Em-8ER and I’m proud of it. We’re all in the middle of helping to change gaming right now, and Em-8ER is going to be an important part of that. Just remember that the time when you are winning, is when every crabby journalist in the world tries to drag you down. They are afraid, and we will win. We will beat DEI and free our games and the devs held hostage by Cancel Pigs.
