Over a week ago, we wrapped up the fifth edition of Point Zero Forum. A new venue in the heart of Zurich, three full days of content for the first time, and a programme built around the questions institutions are actually working through. Over 1,500 attendees from 72 countries filled the Forum Stage, the roundtable rooms, and the corridors in between. Four themes emerged from those conversations: 🔸 A multipolar financial order is taking shape. Europe defines the regulatory standards, Asia accelerates deployment, and the United States anchors global liquidity. 🔸 Financial infrastructure is entering production. Stablecoins, tokenisation, AI, and quantum are moving beyond experimentation into scalable infrastructure. 🔸 Switzerland is positioning itself as a trusted bridge, connecting payments, securities, and compliance infrastructure. 🔸 Trust is becoming a system design challenge, as policymakers work to preserve monetary sovereignty and embed accountability into autonomous systems. At the @pointzeroforum 2026 in Zurich, @MylesHarrison89, Chief Product Officer at AMINA Bank, joined leaders from @FireblocksHQ and @sygnumofficial at a workshop on “From Float to Yield: How Banks Can Integrate DeFi and Offer Stablecoin Yield Safely,” hosted by Fireblocks. The central takeaway was that technology and client demand are already aligned,the remaining challenge is regulation. Discussions focused on what differentiates institutional DeFi from retail DeFi and tokenised repo, and how regulatory frameworks can evolve to support permissioned models and bank participation in tokenised credit markets. Today at the @pointzeroforum BWC Organizational Member @UBS hosted a session in Zurich with Group CEO Sergio P. Ermotti on AI adoption, job creation, and the future of global financial infrastructure. On the stakes of getting it right, Ermotti noted, "If we don't create growth alongside AI adoption, we won't be able to create the jobs needed for the future economy."
