@OlgaBazova @grok Was joe kent removed from intelligence briefings on Iran? When?
English

The way I see it, is that Joe Kent didn't quit because he's anti-war. Judging by his previous positions he's very much pro-war and pro-invasions, as long as they are fought by and for the benefit of the US, and only the US.
His position allowed him access to the exact classified information on the Iranian war.
He quit, because he had access to this information and was 💯 sure that Iran posed no threat to the US and that it got involved in this war solely on the behest and for the benefit of Israel, and that's why his principled stance on this war of aggression has immediately been branded as anti-Semitic by all the usual actors from the Trump zealots flock.

@AdamKinzinger Democrats drained it to help themselves in an election.

WOW!!! JUST GOT A CALL FROM A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE (TOP LEVEL) THAT DONALD TRUMP IS FURIOUS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I, GAVIN C. NEWSOM (GOVERNOR OF THE FREE WORLD) HAVE COMPLETELY “HIJACKED” THE NEWS ON HIS “BIG SPEECH DAY” WITHOUT EVEN TRYING. FOX NEWS IS WALL-TO-WALL COVERAGE OF ME AND MY “ROAD SHOW.” MY RATINGS ARE THROUGH THE ROOF! MUCH BETTER THAN DOZY’S. PEOPLE ARE NOW SAYING THAT I SHOULD DELIVER THE SPEECH INSTEAD OF TRUMP’S “STATE OF THE SNOOZE.” I WOULD CRUSH IT. EVEN WITH DYSLEXIA. ESPECIALLY WITH DYSLEXIA! UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE, I DON’T NEED THE TELEPROMPTER (VERY ADVANCED SKILL, VERY RARE). I MEMORIZE. IT’S CALLED PREPARATION. LOOK IT UP, DON! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! —GOVERNOR GCN

@GoldenAgeUnfold Not unless there's more than 77.3 million of them. Otherwise, it's just an affront to our democracy.

@Microinteracti1 The United States came about mostly because of European dysfunction. So there's nothing new here.

Trump Seen as an Enemy by Most Europeans After Greenland Crisis
A new survey of more than 7,000 people across seven EU countries shows a marked collapse in European trust in Donald Trump, with 51 percent now describing him as an enemy of Europe and only 8 percent viewing him as a friend, while Denmark and Spain are the most critical following Trump’s threats related to Greenland.
Across all countries surveyed, 44 percent say Trump behaves like a dictator and another 44 percent see clear authoritarian tendencies, with just 10 percent believing he respects democratic principles.
The poll also found overwhelming agreement that any US military action against Greenland would be considered an act of war against Europe, a view that gained traction as Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen traveled to Nuuk to underline Danish and European unity after Trump backed down from his most explicit threats following talks with NATO leadership.

@Microinteracti1 He'll burn out before then. He's already over playing his hand and coming across as an insufferable blowhard more than anything else.

U.S. Senator Mark Kelly, a Democrat from Arizona, says he is starting to seriously consider a run for president, according to an interview with CNN. Kelly stressed that he has not made a final decision, but indicated the idea is becoming more concrete as he weighs what he believes the country needs from its next leader.
Kelly enters that conversation with a résumé that is unusual in modern American politics. Before the Senate, he served as a U.S. Navy combat pilot and test pilot, then became a NASA astronaut, flying four space shuttle missions and commanding two of them, including the final flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2020 and won reelection in 2022, building a reputation around national security, military issues, and science and technology policy.
In the political climate after Trump, where accusations of misconduct and ethical breaches have become a constant part of public debate, Kelly is being positioned by some supporters as a credible, steady figure who could push for accountability through lawful investigations and prosecutions rather than partisan spectacle.
Whether that becomes a central theme of a future campaign would depend on the facts that emerge from ongoing and future inquiries, and on how aggressively he chooses to make rule of law and institutional repair part of his message.

🚨BREAKING: California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s planned appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, was canceled at the last minute, Politico reports. His administration says the Trump administration pressured the event’s organizers through the State Department to exclude the California governor from the program.

Trump isn’t putting the American worker first — he’s killing their jobs and loading them up with tariffs and taxes.
Costs are up — and job growth has fallen off a cliff since Trump took office.
We’re creating barely a third of the jobs we did under President Biden, and American workers are paying the price.
This isn’t revitalization — it’s deterioration.
U.S. Department of Commerce@CommerceGov
President Trump is putting the American worker FIRST and leaving globalization BEHIND. We are bringing manufacturing back to America to make quality products, create good jobs, and revitalize the American economy.
