I’m gonna say it - sorry, so many of you are acting like you are completely helpless when it comes to your own care. You need to advocate for yourself by TELLING YOUR DOCTOR AHEAD OF TIME that you experience pain during paps and they will give you medication. They do not assume

@smoke_nd_pearlz It’s literally does. It scrapes off tissue from inside your cervix. Your doctor should be using the cytobrush AND spatula and if they are, then yes, you will lose trace amounts of tissue. If it didn’t, they wouldn’t have anything to use for the test

This is what I mean when I see that using improper language spreads misinformation. Unless for emergencies, pap smears can't be done without consent! You have to book an appointment, share your health insurance, and show up. I consider this response anti-intellectualism.
