Naiyozcsia Thomason, who owns Mz. Jade’s Soul Food, saw the post and paid off the negative lunch balances so that all of the children could have ice cream. 🥰 Mike Rowling, with MSR Transportation LLC, also donated $5,000 so that lunch balances would remain caught up. One might lead with "former president X" then later simply reference X or Mr X depending on the context and formality. Other usage is hagiographic.

You should be old enough to know better. All former presidents, except for IKE, who preferred to be addressed as general, are normally addressed as Mr. President. It's not anything new or some secret.
