Sale Confirmed Paid. 👀 That $10,000 Pre-Errata Luffy transaction is officially finalized and off the market. The market isn't waiting around for the public trackers to catch up. For a closer look at where the active demand is right now, we also have a live auction with 4 days left that has already climbed to $7,050: ebay.us/m/a3bmiG The gap is closing in real time, and a new baseline is being established right before our eyes. Hope you kept your eyes out! 📈🚀

The open market for the OP-01 Pre-Errata Luffy is practically empty. This PSA 10 is listed for $10,000, and it’s already sitting in 5 different carts. A $10k cash sale is about to drop. First-print alpha piece, barely any supply left, and demand is heating up. Who takes it home? 🛒👀 #OnePieceTCG #OnePiece

Seeing this video of Eiichiro Oda on the live action set for Alabasta with a literal fish emoji over his face tells you everything you need to know about who he is. 🐟🎬 The man is a complete ghost. He values his privacy so heavily that he won’t even show his face on a massive Hollywood production set. In fact, the last time the public saw an authentic, unedited photograph of his face online was back around 2011…roughly 15 years ago. You are never going to get close to him, and you’re never going to see public listings of him doing hand-signings because he simply doesn't do them. That is exactly why the Oda Signature card is the ultimate holy grail for the community. That official, Bandai sanctioned stamp is literally the closest 99.9% of fans worldwide will ever get to owning a piece of artwork bearing his personal mark. It represents the ultimate connection to a legendary creator who chooses to remain in the shadows.

From manga panels to a real desert kingdom. Oda-sensei witnessing it all. The Battle of Alabasta begins. 🏜️

Looks like I may have found my next investment piece. 🔍 The further we get into this game, the more a massive gap is opening up between casual flippers and genuine fans. Buying just to scalp a quick buck rarely works out long-term compared to buying what actually matters to the community. In the end, the true winners are going to be the ones who actually know One Piece lore, stay caught up, and understand why certain cards hold emotional weight. Knowledge of the source material is the ultimate edge. #OnePieceTCG #OnePiece

I get why some people look at it as just a stamp, but you have to look at the context of who Eiichiro Oda actually is. He is one of the most reclusive creators in history. He doesn't do public signings, he doesn't show his face, and finding an authentic, hand signed piece from him out in the wild is virtually impossible. This isn't a DocuSign…it's an official, Bandai sanctioned tribute piece built directly into the absolute peak of the game. It dropped in OP-05, arguably the greatest set ever made, right alongside the Gear 5 Manga. For 99.9% of One Piece fans worldwide, this card is literally the closest they will ever get to owning an official piece of artwork bearing his mark. The appeal isn't that he physically held a pen to this exact piece of cardboard. The appeal is the sheer prestige and exclusivity of what that stamp represents in the One Piece universe. In fact, the majority of the community agrees, as it consistently wins Reddit votes and community polls as the top grail card of all time. Just because you don’t personally understand the appeal shouldn't hold you back from seeing its value. Keeping an open mind helps you realize that the market and the cultural significance of this piece go way beyond any single opinion.

Let's talk about the real math behind the OP-05 Oda Signature Luffy. A sealed English case of OP-05 sits right around $13,000. Community pull data shows the Oda Signature drops at a 1 in 6 case rate. Think about what that actually means: To statistically pull one copy yourself, you need to open 6 master cases. At $13,000 a case, that is $78,000 in ripped sealed product just to find a single raw copy. And after sinking $78k, you still have to pray to the grading Gods that the card comes out of the pack flawless enough to score a perfect 10. Skeptics thought a $25k–$30k valuation for a PSA 10 was crazy. But look at the actual trajectory: On May 3rd, it was sitting at $11,200. Today, a PSA 10 just sold for $16,000. Even at $16k, this card is still heavily underpriced when you look at the raw cost of trying to pull it yourself. We are already halfway to the prediction, and the momentum isn't slowing down. When you factor in that the print run is done, supply is permanently capped at 1,200 PSA 10 copies, and Oda never does public signings…$25k+ isn't high. It's basic economics. What's your target? 📉📈👇 Disclaimer: TCG markets are highly speculative and volatile. This analysis is based on community reported data and current market prices for informational purposes only, and should not be taken as financial advice. #OnePieceTCG #OnePiece

@rarefinds That was actually my exact point! I used that image intentionally because it perfectly highlights the biggest issue with this card right now. PSA mislabeled so many of the errata and pre-errata versions together that the pop count is a total mess.

@pollakrhmn The image in your thread is NOT the pre errata Luffy version. You may want to delete it altogether because I fear it could confuse others.

Thought you might enjoy this read. Pop count unknown, only 4 listings available 👀 @rarefinds
Pollak@pollakrhmn

Everyone is hyping up the OP01 Romance Dawn Pre-Errata Luffy card as the "1st Edition Base Set Charizard" of One Piece, but the true market scarcity is actually way crazier than what the pop reports say. Why? Because PSA completely screwed up the grading process in the early stages, making the actual population of true Pre-Errata cards a total mystery. Check out the image attached. Look closely at the card text: it says "Set up to 1..." This is 100% the corrected, cheaper Errata version of the card. The true, rare Wave 1 Pre-Errata version says "Set 1". Now look at the PSA label. Does it say "Errata" anywhere on it? Nope. It just says 2022 One Piece Monkey D. Luffy OP01-Alternate Art #003. Because PSA let a massive wave of these corrected versions slip by without properly labeling them "Errata," they lumped both completely different versions into the exact same pop report. What this actually means for collectors? The official pop count is fake. The true population of actual "Set 1" Pre-Errata PSA 10s is significantly lower than what the pop reports tell you. The true grails are gate kept because early Errata copies are masquerading on the pop report under the generic label, true Wave 1 Pre-Errata supply is criminally suppressed. If you are buying raw or relying purely on the general population report numbers to judge rarity, you're missing the real story. Check your text, because PSA sure didn’t. 🔎

But that overpricing is exactly what forces the card to catch up. When the entry fee to even attempt a pull is a $13k gamble, no one in their right mind is ripping cases to find one. The only way to get a clean copy is buying the single, which naturally drives the PSA 10 price straight up to reflect how impossible it is to pull. The expensive cases literally shield the card's value.

@ItzBermuda Is it the Demo Deck Luffy? If so then they were just promotional handouts given out to teach people the rules. But if it’s not then please let me know, I am always happy to have discussions.

The 1999 Carddass Luffy wasn't pulled from booster boxes. It came out of mechanical vending machines in Japan. That's why it isn't like a Charizard. Charizard is famous because it was the biggest chase card inside a regular booster pack that everyone was hunting for. The Pre-Errata Luffy matches that exact vibe for One Piece. It’s the main grail pulled straight from the very first booster boxes of the global game. The 1999 card is cool history, but it's just a vending machine item, not a booster pack chase card. Don’t get me wrong, I am still invested in the 1999 card because it's completely worth the risk for a vintage piece. It's cool history, but it's just a vending machine item, not a booster pack chase card.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a great investment and totally worth the risk for a vintage piece because of that history. But it's a dead vending machine collectible. Saying Romance Dawn isn't "vintage" from the 90s ignores the fact that Romance Dawn is the actual day one origin story of a massive, thriving global card game.
