@VinylDealsUK Well, I run a Jazz Vinyl Record label and she's 100% accurate about the loss of EU Customers. You can't make up that loss elsewhere in the world either despite what those dimwits in government might say.

@robnitm Used to run a Club there with Jazz Groups like Alphonse Mouzon Band, The Heath Brothers, Morrissey-Mullen, The Breakfast Band, Jay Hoggard plus DJ's. Early 1980's.

@darrenpjones Start at our Royal Mail. They've been unable to process parcels for EU & Foreign destinations for THREE WEEKS now. A "Cyber" attack. No news. No timeframe as to it's end. What is going on? Gross Managerial Incompetence.

Is there a need for a new model of ownership - a public interest company - which is privately owned (with government as a shareholder) and better regulation of investment, debt and level of returns to shareholders?

Niche Sunday night 🧵: have economic regulators been effective in balancing the interests of consumers against the interests of shareholders? When state owned companies were privatised, economic regulators were set up to provide this check and balance. But has it worked?

@darrenpjones @CommonsBEIS After the "cyber attack" Royal Mail seem to be back online but small parcels to Europe and USA are 30% more expensive. Formerly £6 now £9.

Thank you to all of the Royal Mail and Post Office workers who got it touch today following our @CommonsBEIS hearing on postal services in the UK. There’s clearly more questions to be answered and I’ll make sure that they are.

@darrenpjones @CommonsBEIS You might ask what is going on with this "cyber attack" by hackers on Royal Mail. It's now two weeks and nothing seems to be happening. I've got a mail order business and on top of Brexit rules this is driving customers away. Hopeless.

@mfletchertimes @alexandracairns It's impossible to "Make Brexit Work". I'm running a small business and to sell to Europe I have to 1. Charge reduced P&P. 2. Pay towards customers VAT. Just to keep a small percentage of my original customer base. I dropped 30% of my sales after Brexit. I suspect I'm not alone.

@alexandracairns No, Alex! Only that we can't have a second referendum without knowing a) that the EU would let us rejoin (which it won't for a long time) and b) the terms on which we would be readmitted (they won't be as good as those we had before).
