The ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz is deeply damaging. Getting global shipping moving is vital to ease cost of living pressures. The UK has convened more than 40 nations who share our aim to restore freedom of navigation. This week the UK and France will co-host a summit to advance work on a coordinated, independent, multinational plan to safeguard international shipping when the conflict ends.

I live in London, and I'm well travelled. London is one of the safest places I've ever been to. It is a beautiful, diverse and vibrant city and there's no 'no go' zone, absolutely none. Every bit of London, be it posh or poor, is remarkably safe by international standards.

A senior Google engineer just dropped a 421-page doc called Agentic Design Patterns. Every chapter is code-backed and covers the frontier of AI systems: → Prompt chaining, routing, memory → MCP & multi-agent coordination → Guardrails, reasoning, planning This isn’t a blog post. It’s a curriculum. And it’s free.

@polpowsmp That’s amazing to hear. The fact you’re taking the time to learn about the market during such depressed times means you’re very likely to come out ahead!

I’ve subscribed both here and YouTube. Signing up to the platform shortly. Cannot wait to see where this goes (Onchainmind). Here’s hoping! I think two cycles (from local bottom now to next cycle top +1 - circa 6 years) and I’ll be done. Just the clarity you shared with the last video, is hugely valuable… here’s hoping the trend continues. Warmest regards. S

As the situation in the Middle East remains volatile, we are deploying our Type-45 Destroyer, HMS Dragon, to the Eastern Mediterranean. We are also sending two Wildcat helicopters to Cyprus to bolster drone defence for our Cypriot partners. Working alongside our allies, our Armed Forces are committed to protecting regional stability and keeping people safe.

“Fair launch” in crypto isn’t only upside. ✅ No VC discounts ✅ No insider premine ✅ Cleaner distribution narrative ❌ No war chest ❌ Slower ecosystem growth ❌ Harder exchange + institutional push Fair doesn’t automatically win. Capital, liquidity & execution do.

Energy bills are coming down because this Labour Government’s number one priority is to tackle Britain’s affordability crisis. Meanwhile, Reform would cause bills to soar with their plans to reject clean homegrown power and frack the countryside. lbc.co.uk/article/labour…

Watched you on Triggernometry. Great interview and we should be thankful that there are honest and thoughtful people like you involved in calling out this mess! Keep pushing. I’m not political (as in I don’t support any party or vote); we’re in dire need of sensible policies. The poor cannot keep absorbing this lunacy. Warm regards. S

@polpowsmp @Ed_Miliband Yes, that's a fabulous idea.... Get a massive subsidy to do something that has higher emissions than what you were doing before and get to call it "green energy"

Moving costs to taxation doesn't help with the cost of living Your destruction of North Sea oil and gas and subsidy bonanza for renewables is one of the most damaging policies ever inflicted on the British people And it's not even helping the climate because imported energy and deindustrialisation cause global emissions to rise

Vlad, srry for renting your wall, not many humans left on this app. The deflated morale is the natural course of hardcore revolutions. Cryptoanarchism is exciting and all, but it takes socially embedded "protestant" dudes to translate it into something meaningful to civilization. I tried butting heads with you about this on your podcast, that putting trustlessness on a pedestal is wrong. "Civilization is the scale of trust", and we shouldn't conflate the strong conviction that the TCP/IP rails of society must be trustless and singlepointoffailure-free with a trust-hostile culture. Below greg maxwell on bitcoin mailing list bringing nuance into the trustless shibboleth (surprising i know), really influenced me. Bitcoin toxic culture more than anything screams "trustless trustless on every layer", treating common normie sense and judgment as muggle midwit. You end up getting married to the worst chronic normie institutions a la MSTR. This lack of cultural depth highly limits bitcoin's ability to be meaningful to non-abstract civilization. And the pessimistic sentiment shades over vibrant cypherpunk-principled projects like zcash and kaspa (your top two fav:)). You should ascribe zcash's recent success to it being pushed by a naval+solana "cabal" of people with backbone-cypherpunk convictions but otherwise far from anarchist-flat absolutists. Crypto's next manifesto must be legible to normies. As someone smart wrote recently (me): We've "earned" turning normies from a derogatory term into a sanity check on our revolution. And to really land it needs to open also political/social avenues for permissionless rails. Bitcoin has at least 20 more years before it's dead (the turtle that is, not the currency), but that's not a long time on civilizational scales, and we need to make sure crypto outgrows its v1 sooner rather than later. Rename your podcast to Crypto Takeover and I'll join as second host.

A great post from @Dohmer - polite, respectful and asking @elonmusk to consider great #kaspa $kas tech.
Dohmer@Dohmer

Dear @elonmusk , This is not an engagement trap. I’m not asking you to comment. I’m not asking you to pump anything. I’m asking for something much simpler. You’ve always been driven by first principles thinking and by technologies that redefine existing systems, not by narratives, not by hype. There is a Proof of Work protocol called Kaspa ( $KAS ) that most people still misunderstand. Not because of price. Not because of market cap. But because of its architecture. It’s a blockDAG based on GhostDAG, a generalization of Nakamoto consensus that processes parallel blocks instead of discarding them. It keeps PoW security while achieving near instant confirmations and extremely high block rates. No pre mine. No pre sale. Fair launch. Pure game theory. I’m not asking what you think about the valuation. I’m genuinely curious what you think about the technology. Because if the future of money is built on engineering integrity, then engineering deserves scrutiny. That’s it. @kaspaunchained @KaspaKii @Kaspa_Commons
