@SouthernRailUK We were told at Brighton suddenly that this train was going to London. Is that correct? National Rail suggests it is. 20.45 from Gatwick.
English

@pompeydunc Hi, yes your tickets will be accepted tomorrow with no time restrictions. Services should be running as normal tomorrow. ^Wiktor

@SouthernRailUK Can we travel in peak time tomorrow? We have a London to Brighton super off peak return for today. Need to get back to London, but could get hotel and travel early tomorrow.
Also, are trains running normally from Brighton to Gatwick? If we did travel...

🇫🇷 Mappa della geografia calcistica della Francia realizzata da me 🇫🇷
⚽ Available here as a poster in two different sizes:
⏩ (30 x 40 cm): ebay.it/itm/2870883533…
⏩ (50 x 70 cm): ebay.it/itm/2870883660…
Among the most competitive leagues in the world, the map shows the geographical distribution of over 160 French clubs, from @Ligue1 to almost all those participating in the Championnat National (fifth-tier) group @NationalFFF as well as some included for historical and geographical reasons.
Ligue 1 was born in 1932 and since then many clubs have won the championship: the only ones to reach double figures are @PSG_inside (13) and @ASSEofficiel (10), and then we find other great multi-award winning clubs such as @OM_Officiel (9), @AS_Monaco and @FCNantes (8), @OL (7), @girondins and @StadeDeReims (6), @losclive and @ogcnice (4) and others. Contrary to many other countries in the world, the distribution of winning teams in France is very homogeneous, indicating that football is an extremely developed sport in every corner of this country: this is a fundamental aspect, which is also expressed in the strength of @FFF with its senior national team and its youth teams.

Thought we played midfield neck brace game better than they did 1st half. They played the same better in second. Probably the worst game of football and worst pitch I’ve seen in my last 45 years in football but same for both sides….. right?

@SamirBennis You obviously didn't see the many examples of chaos to get into the stadiums? The contraflow systems were completely ineffective and the management of them led to dangerous situations at times. Happy to list them! It was particularly bad at the Rabat stadiums.

Before the start of the AFCON and throughout the competition, claims have circulated accusing Morocco of manipulating CAF and FIFA. Those claims are not about a refereeing decision or a single match. They reflect discomfort with a longer pattern: Morocco’s sustained ability to host, compete, and deliver at scale.
Morocco lost the AFCON final. That happens in football. The relevant question is whether the tournament and the hosting system functioned as they should.
They did. The schedule held. Infrastructure worked. Logistics held. Refereeing decisions stood. The competition ended without institutional disruption. That is what governing bodies actually assess.
Over the past year, Morocco played six finals, winning four and losing two. U- 20 World Cup winners, U-17 AFCON winners. CHAN and Arab Cup titles. Strong youth performances internationally, including at the U-17 World Cup in Qatar. This is not to mention reaching the @fifaworldcup_ar World Cup semi-final in 2022 and winning the U-23 AFCON in 2023.
Winning and losing are part of the game. Consistent delivery is harder.
Morocco has invested in youth pipelines, hosted major tournaments, and handled pressure without turning setbacks into controversy. When that level of consistency cannot be matched, questioning it becomes the easier move.
Football moves on. So does Morocco.

Breaking News ❤️❤️❤️
Lumumba is now GLOBAL . French professional player Sofiane Daouda Diop paid tribute to him after scoring a goal yesterday . According to him , no one should ever mock a football fan or Patrick Lumumba’s legacy.
This fan right here is gradually gaining grounds and loved by almost all players globally . Big teams are now inviting him to their games ❤️
Moral lesson : Always dare to be different.!

@LeaguesReporter He was exceptional. Missed a red card for Algeria for a out of control tackle/lunge on Nigerian 'keeper though.
English

@MickyJnr__ The ref was exceptional. Nigeria were far the better side. Algeria were aggressive throughout and were very lucky not to have any red cards. Several of their players were dismissive and arrogant towards ref (and Nigeria players) throughout. Why should he shake their hand?
English

🚨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Algeria are set to formally submit reports to CAF over what they describe as poor officiating in their AFCON quarterfinal defeat to Nigeria.
The Algerian FA claim:
ℹ️ A clear penalty was denied.
ℹ️ Several decisions from Senegalese referee Issa Sy were questionable.
ℹ️ The referee was biased in Nigeria’s favor.
ℹ️ Issa Sy allegedly failed to shake hands with Algerian players at full time.
ℹ️ Nigerian players provoked them after the final whistle.
ℹ️ Algerian journalists and media professionals were allegedly attacked in the tunnel.
As a result, Algeria will ask CAF to ban Issa Sy and remove him from the tournament with immediate effect.
CAF are now expected to review the reports and evidence.
Your thoughts? 💭
