Actually our board voted to oppose the bill that would decriminalize fare evasion.
The Governor vetoed the bill (it was passed by the legislature and our opposition played a role in getting it vetoed.)
And then we raised $90M to replace our fare gates with ones that reduce the ability to fare evade.
We also added fare inspectors to our staff.
