@_SoccerThoughts @KillaKreww are you a parody account, serious question
English

Zach Galifianakis calls out comedians who have President Trump or other politicians on their podcasts but don’t challenge them and just “fake laugh,” contrasting it with his Between Two Ferns episodes like the one with Barack Obama 😳👀
He also recalls Hillary Clinton asking him not to bring up the email controversy, so he said he wouldn’t do the episode unless they allowed it
English

@noahs_corner Yeah… Whitecaps is one of the worst and most overrated episodes of all time.
English

@cottagec0re_ @NPD_K9_UNIT @franknteddy "Intentionally daft to the constant misogynistic undressing stare that women receive in public because I thought it was an epic own"
wow folks
English

@NPD_K9_UNIT @franknteddy Why are you staring at your coworkers nipples?? I have never done this in my life. What’s wrong with you??
English

can literally one person at all explain to me why in any way that isn't steeped in at least 3 layers of misogyny and patriarchal standards

My most boomer take (I guess) is that you need to wear proper undergarments (like a bra) to work.

@waywearywizard @WarOnUgliness @SyntheticAnima No it stopped when Biden’s admin used federal power to force social media to shutdown talks on his Son’s laptop story.
English

Norm MacDonald said that in order to do a good impression of someone, you have to like them at least a bit, because you're playing the person and people like themselves.
This whole project was doomed from the start because Tim is too spiteful and doesn't really "get" Alex Jones.
Count Dankula@CountDankulaTV
Painfully unfunny, zero imagination and cringe as fuck right out the gate. Called it.
English

@Druglord121 @McR1B69 Strawman. Rotisserie chicken is food. Filet mignon is food. The only thing up for debate is whether or not an EBT card is a food buying card.
English

Soon you will be able to buy food with the buying food card
Jay Bee@TheRealJBx
Rotisserie Chickens will soon be able to be purchased with SNAP funds. Thoughts?

@MacMarz @bomani_jones It's his story, not his personality, that evolves. Mike is the strong silent one, and it's cool how the show had him become the new Omar, but what we are presented from the start of his existence does not change much. There is nothing for him to conquer or outgrow
English

@poobagluigi @bomani_jones Let me get this straight the kids in the wire evolved over the show because of their circumstances but AJ is more complex because he was a sociopaths kid? 🤨 Mike character arc is far and away more complex.
English

@iLikeAza @bomani_jones Agent Harris is a great character as well, and a rare archetype that doesn't appear much, though I actually find him similar to chars from The Wire. He does his job dutifully, but had disagreements with the FBI's methods, and ultimately became allured by the mob lifestyle
English

@iLikeAza @bomani_jones Disagree even with the cops.
Makazian (s1) as a short-lived corrupt cop had solid depth, with him wanting more out of his relationship with Tony and being rejected. And because he drunkenly beats the shit outta Melfi's date, he is still impossible to feel sorry for
English

@MacMarz @bomani_jones AJ has always been content with the benefits of mob life, but has a need to feel important, best exemplified with his ex that was wealthier than the Sopranos, as well as him becoming sought after socially solely for him being Tony's kid
English

@MacMarz @bomani_jones Kids always change. And again, all of The Wire kids only change due to circumstance. AJ from Sopranos is a widely disliked character, but one that has complexity beyond the initial read of him being a dumbass mob nepo baby
English

@iLikeAza @bomani_jones ?????? yes? Tony Soprano spends half the fucking show in a therapist's office, to say his character isn't complex is daft. Don't try to sell me that Jimmy McNulty comes anywhere close tf
English

@poobagluigi @bomani_jones But the characters did have development and saying they are 1 dimensional is wild compared to The Sopranos. Like who was the complex characters there? Did anybody ever examine their actions & motivations
English

@iLikeAza @bomani_jones Most of the characters are static personalities throughout, with some expections (Prezbo, Carver). What the Wire excels in most is world-building and systemic critique, not character development
English

@poobagluigi @bomani_jones My guy look at where everyone goes from Sea 1 to the finale. Characters are constantly evolving but they are all working in complex systems. The game is what doesn't change
English

@poobagluigi @bomani_jones That’s kinda of the whole point though…
English

@MacMarz @bomani_jones Omar didn't change a bit
Kids don't count
Herc's a horrible example to use but Carver did have a good character arc
English

@poobagluigi @bomani_jones You don’t think Mike evolved or Namond, Herc, Bubbles, Randy, or Omar? You think all those characters remained the same from start to finish?
English

@shunnedmorlock Minimize death as a whole, or self-preservation
Huh... almost like it's a metaphor for something
English

If 100% of people vote blue, no one dies. If 100% of people vote red, no one dies. This is true.
If 51% of people vote blue, no one dies. If 51% of people vote red, 49% of people die.
If our goal is to minimize death, it is far easier to get 51% to act in concert than 100%.

This is like seeing a book about how the holocaust was bad and saying "Adolf Hitler on the cover? Geez did a nazi write this or what? I'm not reading this!"
