Totally aligned with this take. IP holders going nuclear over Seedance was predictable, but it also feels like a tired attempt to patch a leaking boat with tape and paper.
If anything, reactions like this just widen the market. The fear shows the seams, and the seams show where opportunity sits. You end up giving free visibility to the very shift you’re trying to contain, while signaling to thousands of creators that the gates are open.
Yes, most of what follows will be rough. That’s normal. But some of it will be genuinely good, and some of it will inevitably start competing with the very IPs being defended so aggressively.
