@TypeForVictory An independent Scotland would not be a new country, it would be a very old country asserting its right to make its own decisions about how it should be run.

Very important to be clear that Scotland and England ceased to exist about 300 years ago. There is a single unitary state, formed in the Union of the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Kingdom of [Northern] Ireland. An "indy" Scotland would be a new country, not a demerger.

@Skunnered @Tara61711 Those leafleting for Alba were campaigning for SNP1. The 2nd SNP votes delivered unionists: it needs a list party to deliver more pro Indy MSPs, due to the system. Alba supporters are “concerned” with the SNP as they’re SNP members or ex ones. FFS this isn’t hard.

Gove is a disgrace. Applying fake tests to Scottish elections which he never applied to Brexit or Tory governments. Tests predicated on a FPTP result. Which, not at all incidentally, would have given the SNP a thumping majority larger than the PM's. Talk about selective amnesia!
