@NalinisKitchen The society I live in has 240 flats, haven't seen any women in saree, except weddings. Nowadays not even a grandma wears a saree. In our community nobody is expected to wear a saree. I don't know what type of people still expect to wear a saree.!!!

After a long time, I called my college friend who got married 2 months ago. She said, “My life has changed a lot after marriage. Earlier, I didn’t have to wake up early, ask for permission to go to parties, or think twice about what to wear. Now I can’t wear loose clothes all the time and I’m often expected to wear a saree. There are so many adjustments. My husband is rich and owns two textile companies in Surat, but it still feels like my life is compromised. My freedom feels lost.”
