My timeline now looks what I would imagine the dark web to be like. If this was on my hard drive, I would expect to be prosecuted for some weird child-murder porn, executions, stabbings, hospital sniper deaths, bulldozerings, beatings, torturings, burnings, crushings... 1\

Owen Jones' ignorance of the Iranian political system does not merely emanate from stupidity. It is wilful ignorance, based on Islamophobia and a hatred for anti-imperialism. His anti-theist, liberal extremist, imperialist politics simply cannot compute what the Islamic Republic is: a revolutionary popular theocracy whose legitimacy is guaranteed by mobilisations on the streets, at the ballot box and with the gun. The combination of the revolutionary in the street, the revolutionary at prayer, the revolutionary at the ballot box and the revolutionary Basij is incomprehensible to him because he has only known the barbarian judeophilic oligarchies of the godless post-postmodern West.

US/IRAN - Blame Game Continues Following Lost US Battle Amid Continued War on Iran Claims that Israel "tricked" the US into war with Iran is simply blame-shifting and scapegoating after a lost battle amid a still unfinished war. The notion President Trump suddenly decided to launch a war based on assurances from Israeli PM Netanyahu is detached from material reality and documented history. The war against Iran in 2025 and 2026 was not possible without the collapse of Syria, the eradication of its air defenses, and the creation of an air corridor to Iran itself. The collapse of Syria in 2024 under Biden wasn't possible without the US-engineered "Arab Spring" in 2011 under Obama and the preparations for it including the training of opposition groups and the arming of extremists which took place under both the Bush and Obama administrations. US war on Iran has been a continuous bipartisan agenda carried out across multiple US presidencies - Republican or Democratic - driven by the corporate-financier interests most benefiting from US primacy worldwide - including the arms industry and big-oil. By playing into this scapegoating - people are affording the US plausible deniability and giving them space and time to prepare for next battle in this war under the cover of public ignorance. Take that cover away from them - force them to do it out in the open - ensure they AND their proxies are BOTH held accountable - and EVERY administration past, present and future that aided and abetted in it connected to it - and just maybe we can begin to break this cycle of global death and destruction. The above is from Brian Berletic. @BrianJBerletic We would only add that what is necessary for Anglo-American imperialism to fall is a strong and educated working class movement in Britain. It must be steeped in the knowledge offered by Marxist science and Leninist organisation. The working class must become an army, welded by such a leadership, in order to slay the Goliath of finance capital, that stalks the earth freely committing its genocidal crimes. 🚨🇷🇺 Russia just sent a warship to escort sanctioned tankers through the English Channel. Starmer threatened to seize them. Russia responded with a frigate. The UK shadowed. They did not stop. That's not a confrontation. That's a message. Sanctions only work if you're willing to enforce them. Russia just called the bluff. And the West blinked. Again. Our ruling class are driving relentlessly to war with Russia and China. Their wars against Syria, Lebanon and Iran and Ukraine are all driving steadily in this direction. Be in no doubt. The only way out is to oppose them. Here. Now. thecommunists.org Join us.

John Mearsheimer: "If I went to Israel and I was killed, someone shot me, do you think there would be any accountability? Seriously. If any of you went there, and you were killed, do you think there would be any accountability? There wouldn't be. That is how outrageous it is."

This is beyond shameful: x.com/atrupar/status… When asked if it "bothered him at all" when Trump "threatened to kill the entire Iranian civilization," Rutte's response was simply: "what I want you to know is I support the President and I know a large part of Europe do." If Europe cared at all about the "values" it supposedly has, this should be cause for immediate dismissal, and potentially criminal prosecution - publicly endorsing genocide would be classified as illegal hate speech in several EU countries, including in the Netherlands (Rutte's own country).

Look at this legal precedent 2021, upheld by The Netherlands' Supreme Court: fra.europa.eu/en/databases/c… Geert Wilders, the leader of the Dutch political party PVV, was convicted for asking his audience during a meeting of party followers in the Hague: “do you want more or less Moroccans in this city and in the Netherlands?”. The Supreme Court made it clear in their reasoning that politicians are not exempted from prosecution - they bear responsibility for preventing statements that directly or indirectly incite intolerance. In my book, explicitly "supporting" wiping out an entire civilization is even far worse than what Wilders said. So if the law was applied consistently, as it should, Rutte should absolutely face prosecution.

Talk from Bristol Transformed exposing the blood-soaked origins and imperialist agenda of Palantir Technologies. youtu.be/o5BbJzDJ4mc?si… From Peter Thiel's uranium mining fortune built on Namibian workers' graves, to Alex Karp's racist hysteria about "threats to Western values", we trace how a CIA-funded surveillance firm now sits at the heart of the NHS, armed with AI kill lists tested in Gaza and vendor-locked contracts designed to be unbreakable. The Epstein connections. The Mandelson stitch-up. The Federated Data Platform with no opt out feature. This is part of selling off and privatisation of the NHS. This isn't "corruption." This is monopoly capitalism functioning exactly as intended. What have we learnt so far? What are the surprises? What has been discovered about the shape of the world? Here’s the five most important. 1 — The most important discovery is that Iran is a great power. This is a real discovery that was not known to the Iranians themselves; specifically, they could not be sure in advance that a strategic victory over the US was achievable. It is a fundamental discovery about the polarity of the system: there are now four great powers in the world and this structure will have very important consequences going forward. 2 — The idea that you can secure strategic objectives with the air weapon due to the precision-strike revolution has been debunked. The ‘combined-arms orthodoxy’ has been vindicated and proponents of strategic air war have again been proven wrong. 3 — We have learnt that Warden’s decapitation idea does not work against highly-institutionalized states. This was always the position of the serious scholars, but recent Israeli successes had sown some doubt about the thesis. These doubts have now vanished. 4 — We have learnt that a mature precision-strike regime is defense-dominant. Specifically, we have learnt that a great power can deny a global maritime power access to its near-abroad, curtailing the latter’s ability to project power. 5 — As a corollary of the above, the US command of the global commons is gone. The US is no longer a maritime hegemon that can guarantee access to even the most important chokepoint in the system. This is a development of great significance in the history of capitalism.

The war with Iran will doubtlessly be studied for decades but what's already pretty clear at this stage is how much of a strategic defeat it is for the U.S. and Israel, perhaps the worst ever in their history (which is actually what former Israeli PM Yair Lapid already called it: x.com/yairlapid/stat…). I mean, how crazy is this: JP Morgan calculated (jpost.com/middle-east/ir…) that, as per the new Hormuz toll arrangement, Iran may get as much as $70-90 billion in additional annual revenue, representing a stunning 20% of its GDP, in extra revenue. Hilariously, Trump commented on Truth Social that the arrangement means “big money will be made” and “Iran can start the reconstruction process” (@realDonaldTrump/116367088879643074" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru…). Damn right: they gained the single most valuable geographic rent on earth, by a huge margin. For comparison, the Suez Canal earns Egypt “only” $9-10B/year, and the Panama Canal about $5B. Stunning. Make no mistake, this establishes Iran as the new dominant power in the Middle-East. When you're a country that others need to effectively pay to do business in a region - which is what having a toll booth on Hormuz means in practice - you're no longer shut out of the global economy: you're the one charging admission. It's a phoenix rising from the ashes story if there ever was one (an apt metaphor since it comes from Persian mythology): after 47 years of sanctions, being the target of every trick in the book, and ultimately a war aimed at finishing them off, Iran is coming out the other end stronger than at any point in modern history. Above all, though, the most dramatic consequence of this war is what it means about U.S. power. As I argued in my previous article (open.substack.com/pub/arnaudbert…), this war is qualitatively different from other U.S. wars in the past few decades, such as Vietnam, Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Serbia, etc. (the list is unfortunately very long). In those wars the pattern was roughly always the same, with an immense power differential between aggressor and victim. These were imperial wars, the empire attempting to crush a much weaker people whose only realistic recourse was guerrilla resistance. As I wrote, as spectators of these wars, if you had any moral sense, the dominant emotion was a kind of helpless disgust: you were watching a giant stomp through someone else’s house. This war wasn’t at all like that: stunningly, Iran managed to hold its own symmetrically and tactically against the United States and Israel. This is an absolutely crucial difference because it changes what losing means. When the U.S. lost in Vietnam or Afghanistan, it was embarrassing but ultimately manageable - the giant walked away with a bruised ego, and the world shrugged. Empires lose to guerrillas sometimes, it doesn’t say much about the empire's ability to fight a real war. But losing symmetrically - losing when your most advanced stealth fighters get shot down from the sky, your military bases are neutered across an entire theater (x.com/RnaudBertrand/…), your most advanced missile defense systems get destroyed, your enemy seizes control of the world’s most strategic waterway, your navy can’t reopen it, and your “allies” get bombed unforgivingly despite your “protection” - that's a different kind of losing entirely. That tells the world the giant isn't such a giant anymore. This is the topic of my latest article: what the war revealed, what it destroyed, and what may come next. I titled the article "Don't bluff someone who can't fold." You'll understand why when you read the article here: open.substack.com/pub/arnaudbert…

Ask an American about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A substantial portion will tell you it was necessary. Tragic, but necessary. It ended the war. It saved lives. Hard choices in impossible circumstances. Now ask them how they would feel if another country had done it to an American city. Watch the framework collapse in real time. Suddenly "necessary" is not a category that applies. Suddenly there are no hard choices and impossible circumstances. Suddenly it is simply: a crime. An act of war. An atrocity. This is not hypocrisy in the ordinary sense. This is a two-tiered moral universe so deeply internalized that most people living inside it cannot see the structure at all. Violence done to Americans is atrocity by definition. Violence done by Americans requires context. Requires understanding. Requires a discussion of the strategic situation. This is the psychological furniture. This is what empire builds inside the people who benefit from it. And it is almost invisible from the inside.

The Greens have historically been a Zionist party in that they favour a so called "two-state solution", leaving the genocidal Zionist entity in existence, even if shorn of some of its more recently occupied territories. This is their policy statement from 2014. In more recent times the "Jewish Greens" have been putting on Zionist meetings. The next two of these (occurring in the middle of the election campaign) include a briefing from the New Israel Fund, a Zionist foundation. Also - shockingly - they are hosting a briefing from a former head of the Shin Bet, the Zionist regime's internal intelligence agency, Ami Ayalon. That agency is directly involved in terrorising the Palestinians as we speak. Ayalon will advance the "two-state solution" as a means of "defeating" Hamas and thus securing the long term future of the Zionist colony. In case you are under any illusions about what the Greens will do when the Zionists come knocking, I give you the cautionary tale of myself. See below for the occasion when Caroline Lucas signed on to a letter to the University of Bristol which undoubtedly contributed to my sacking in October 2021. Her statement (below) smeared and defamed me at the very time I had been cleared on two occasions of "anti-Semitism" by the University of Bristol and by an external KC inquiry. I was later cleared in a further KC led enquiry. #DismantleZionism

They taught their children that World War II was a war between good and evil. And America won. So in the deepest layer of the American psyche, there is this foundational equation: America = the side that wins the wars against evil. Every subsequent war got loaded into that equation. Korea. Vietnam. Gulf War. Iraq. Afghanistan. Each one was presented, at the beginning, with the same moral architecture. The same clarity of purpose. The same enemy who needed to be stopped. And when the wars turned out to be complicated, when the reasons turned out to be false, when the conduct turned out to be criminal, when the outcomes turned out to be catastrophic, the equation couldn't be revised. Because the equation is not really about the wars. The equation is about the identity. You cannot tell Americans that Vietnam was a war crime without implying that America is capable of war crimes, which implies that America is not automatically the good side, which collapses the foundational equation, which leaves an entire civilization's self-understanding without a floor. This is not a political disagreement. This is an existential threat to a constructed self. And people defend their constructed selves with the same ferocity they defend their lives. Sometimes more.
