The Prime Minister is a so-called Leader whose only distinguishing feature is his unmatched ability to be a Misleader. He is a habitual liar who cannot speak the truth, even by mistake. He has engaged in deliberate deceit with the nation over the question of delimitation. The Bills that his Government has circulated for the special session of Parliament contradict all the so-called assurances that he has been giving. The southern states will lose their strength in the Lok Sabha and so will smaller states in northwest India and states in the east. What happened to the uniform proportionate increase of strength in the Lok Sabha for all states - that was promised by the PM and some of his colleagues? That has not happened. The PM’s assurances cannot be trusted. He is unable to rise beyond his crude power-grabbing impulses and be a statesman - even on an issue as sensitive as delimitation. The Bills were uploaded on Dr. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The delimitation provisions are an insult to his legacy and a reflection of his warning - delivered in the Constituent Assembly on November 25, 1949 - about the dangers of a government that isn’t guided by constitutional morality.

What hold does Israel have over the US that a powerful Israel lobby can persuade the country to repeatedly go to war in West Asia? Well what hold does the gun lobby have inside the US so that inspite of repeated school shootings where Americans kill Americans kids, they do not outright ban guns? One must conclude that the US and its elected representatives are beholden to various lobbies that fund their campaigns. And they let Americans die in so much gun violence because of lobbies. There’s also lots of GCC money and Saudi money in US. So lobbies determine policy of the US.

Whats unfolding in Delhi High court is actually a great service to our democracy. A petitioner today is being given full chance to make a case for himself as to why a judge should recuse herself from his case. The judge listening to the petitioners arguments very closely and patiently. Now the ball is in the judges court to decide whether the arguments being made are strong enough. Whatever comes out of this, at least in this limited chapter of today’s events in Delhi High court, Indian democracy stands tall. #Kejriwal #Court

नोएडा में श्रमिकों के नाम पर जो हिंसा हुई है, वो अचानक नहीं बल्कि सुनियोजित लगती है। कल ही सरकार ने खुद आगे बढ़कर संवाद का रास्ता खोला, अधिकारियों को 24 घंटे में बातचीत के निर्देश दिए। जब बातचीत शुरू होनी थी, तब उससे पहले अचानक आज सुबह ही आगजनी और हमला और तोड़ फोड़ क्यों ? क्या इस हिंसा के तार 2027 के चुनाव से पहले राज्य का माहौल खराब करने की साजिशों से जुड़े हैं ? ऐसा लगता है कि कुछ लोगों को डर है कि अगर बातचीत हुई तो उनका फैलाया झूठ और नैरेटिव बेनकाब हो जाएगा। श्रमिकों के नाम पर राजनीति करने वालों का असली चेहरा सामने आ रहा है।

I am genuinely struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a small toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil?
