But CBSE's new OSM (On-Screen Marking) system has destroyed everything. Answer sheets are blurry and unreadable, the revaluation portal keeps crashing for days, payments fail repeatedly, students are being overcharged huge amounts, hackers have targeted the site, and deadlines are extended but nothing works. Lakhs of sincere students like me have failed in multiple subjects despite our best efforts. I lost my close friend to suicide after seeing his marks. He couldn't bear the pain. Many more students are having severe emotional breakdowns and attempting the same. Families are crying day and night. Our JEE, NEET and college dreams are completely crushed. Madam, we are your children. We are not just roll numbers. Please intervene and save us. Kindly direct the authorities to award grace marks of 15-20 in all subjects this year for students affected by this OSM crisis. This will give hope and save 50-60% of us from ruin. Where do you get the verified number? My daughter got less marks and I can apply after 29th May and CBSE will verify it in 1st or 2nd week of June.

@cbseindia29 I have downloaded the scanned photocopies of my daughter and wants to apply for "Verification & Re-Evaluation". Currently the photocopy status shows submitted (not downloaded), and Verification and Re-Evaluation is not enabled.

CBSE has done huge damage to its reputation and to students' faith in it. Traditionally, CBSE was considered one of the most professional examining bodies. There was a time when CBSE conducted AIPMT better than NBE conducts NEET today. What was the need to shift to On-Screen Marking (OSM) so haphazardly? The existing system of physical copy checking was working well, and hardly anyone was complaining. You shifted to OSM without accounting for the fact that the manpower involved in scanning answer sheets can make mistakes. Copies are getting exchanged, pages are missing from scanned answer sheets, correct answers are getting zero marks, and correct MCQ responses are getting 0.5 instead of 1. I know only a handful of students have reported issues so far, but such incidents have shaken students' faith in the examination system. Now every student may feel that they too received lower marks due to errors and expect redressal. All of this was avoidable.
