Which post-quantum algorithms are you considering—ML-DSA (Dilithium), FN-DSA (FALCON), or SLH-DSA (SPHINCS+)? Their public keys and signatures are significantly larger. Bip361 is not forced, it's literally free markets. You pick the fork you prefer, it's basically an airdrop.

The marginal electricity cost per broken secp256k1 cryptographic key is about $59 for a 23-minute attack (500000×0.38≈191667 qubit-hours=7986=7986 qubit-days).
